🍹 Is the Cruise Beverage Package Worth It? 🚢
This is one of the questions I get asked the most!
The answer? It depends on your vacation style. 🍻🍸☕
This chart shows approximately how many drinks per day you'd need to enjoy for the beverage package to pay for itself on the major cruise lines.
Keep in mind, many packages include more than just alcoholic drinks. They often cover: ✅ Specialty coffees ✅ Sodas ✅ Bottled water ✅ Mocktails ✅ Some fresh juices and other beverages (depending on the cruise line)
For many travelers, the convenience of ordering what you want without worrying about a bill at the end of the cruise is worth it. For others, paying as you go can save money.

It always makes me smile when someone says, "Travel agents don't exist anymore."
Meanwhile, travel advisors help generate over $100 billion in travel sales in the U.S. every year.
Another myth? "Using a travel agent costs more."
In reality, commissions are already built into the price of many cruises, all-inclusive resorts, tours, and vacation packages. If you book on your own, that commission is usually still paid—you just don't receive the benefit of having a travel advisor working for you. While some advisors charge planning fees for complex itineraries or custom services, many of us don't charge any additional fee for standard vacation bookings.
When you book with a travel advisor, you're not just buying a trip. You're getting someone who: ✈️ Helps you choose the right destination and resort. 💰 Watches for promotions that may save you money. 📞 Advocates for you if something goes wrong. 🧳 Shares firsthand knowledge and experience. ❤️ Saves you time, stress, and often costly mistakes.

This is real life…
Client: "I want an all-inclusive resort for 4 people for 2 weeks with flights included. My max budget is $1,500."
Me: 😳 "That's about what one person would spend for two weeks at a budget-friendly resort."
Or this one...
Client: "I want somewhere tropical with crystal-clear water, an oceanfront room, butler service, top-shelf liquor, a king bed, and we can ONLY travel these exact dates. We have to leave after 3:00 PM and be back before noon. Our budget is $5,000."
Me (thinking): 🤯 "That's the definition of a custom vacation."
So I explain my planning fee for creating a personalized itinerary that checks every box.....and suddenly I'm left on read. 👻
Here's the thing...
Creating the perfect vacation isn't just typing a destination into Google.
It's hours of researching resorts, comparing suppliers, checking flights, reviewing room categories, finding the best value, and making sure every detail fits your needs and budget.
You're not paying for a few clicks on a computer.
You're paying for my experience, industry knowledge, supplier relationships, problem-solving skills, and the time I invest to create a vacation that's tailored specifically for you.
