Congratulations to WCMG Group Member and Adventure Touring Rider Patrick Whittington for being the first to complete “THE IRON” 2.0! Appalachia’s Most Badass Trail Route with an overall time of 22 Hours and 52 minutes covering 667 miles and 4 state lines! You are now one of very few who have earned the coveted “IRON” patch and the second rider to complete this year’s “IRON” 2.0 in less than 24 hours!

With an overall ride time of 14 hours and 49 minutes matching perfectly with the map this season and with all the images below you are proving to other riders and drivers how to prove it!

Patrick took pictures at points of interest along the way on both ends, recorded it in REVER, and even gave us time stamped gas receipts from both ends!

Let’s give group member and new Appalachian “IRON” Warrior A/T rider Patrick Whittington a Big shout out! Badass brother!

Stay tuned for more and to Patrick come see us and I will award you with your patch and decals personally and post it! Thank you for the input, I will post it on the “IRON” page and work on those!

We highly recommend that you use our Backroads of Appalachia Mobile Application as Google Maps is not always accurate in our neck of the woods including off-line use!
