We’re beginning a new series that takes you through a day in the life at Farmstay farms across the country and our founder, Scottie Jones, kindly volunteered to go first!

🐑 New to Farmstay: du Trieux Farm

One of the joys of Farmstay is getting to introduce you to families who open their farms and homes to visitors. Today, we're excited to welcome the Castner family of du Trieux Farm in Washington County, New York.

Their 1850 farmhouse is home to a small bed and breakfast where mornings begin with a breakfast made from ingredients grown on the farm and sourced from neighboring producers. Guests are invited to be as involved as they'd like—help feed the chickens, move sheep to fresh pasture before breakfast, explore the barns and fields, or enjoy a quiet morning with a cup of coffee on the porch.

The Castner family raises pasture-raised sheep and chickens using regenerative farming practices and is planting a seven-acre orchard for the future. Their passion for caring for the land is reflected in every part of the guest experience.

If you're planning a visit to the southern Adirondack region, du Trieux Farm also makes a great home base for exploring Lake George, Saratoga Springs, Vermont, hiking trails, skiing, and more.
