👉🏼 Save for your next San Diego adventure! ☀️🌊⛰️

I visited San Diego for the first time in 2018 - 5 months into dating Sam when I met his mom. I’ve now been back over 20 times and it’s become my second home ❤️

While the city is huge and has an endless number of things to do, there are a few things I find myself recommending over and over again 👇

☀️ Sunset Cliffs Natural Park
- The TOP sunset spot in all of San Diego, but it is popular so arrive early to beat traffic and find street parking. There are also walking trails along the cliffs.

🛍️ Seaport Village
- A great spot to spend an afternoon browsing shops and enjoying views of the harbor.

⛱️ Coronado Island
- Home to fantastic restaurants, boutiques, book stores, beaches, and the famous Hotel Del, this should be a must on anyone’s San Diego itinerary.

🥾 Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve
- One of my favorite spots for hiking just a short drive from Downtown San Diego. Several short trails lead to beautiful ocean views.

🍻 Liberty Public Market
- Located in Liberty Station, the public market is home to numerous vendors selling crafts, food, and more. I love the acai bowls and the beer garden is also fantastic.

⚾️ Petco Park
- The San Diego Padres are an MLB team that play at Petco Park and the games are fun! The stadium is in downtown San Diego and it’s tons of fun to grab drinks and a bite to eat before or after the game.

🌊 Ocean Beach
- Such a fun and quirky beach in the Point Loma neighborhood. The beach is right off of Newport Avenue which is several blocks long and home to breweries, restaurants, shops, and more.

Have you been to San Diego before? What are your favorite things to do and places to see when visiting?

The last one really hits hard 😅🐮

🏠 For my fellow Wisconsinites, did you find any of these accurate?

😲 For everyone else, is this how you view us over here in Wisconsin??

🧀 I personally think our devotion to cheese makes us unique and I love it 😆

🤩 And Wisconsin is definitely not just cornfields and cows, although we do have a lot of cute cows. I’m so grateful for this platform where I can show all of Wisconsin’s beauty!

I met a lot of incredible new friends this weekend, but swipe to the end to meet my favorite new bestie, Zeke 😉🐮

👯‍♀️ If you’re looking for a way to meet travel writer and content creator friends in the most welcoming and fun environment, I can’t recommend the conference enough!

🌳 I had the best weekend with fellow conference attendees exploring where we were treated to delicious food, explored local parks and enjoyed a boat ride around Lake Jocassee and I even got to meet my favorite new bestie, the miniature highland cow, Zeke 🤩

🗒️ Of course, there were also several amazing speaker sessions that were both educational and relatable - the best of both worlds!

The people and communities are my favorite parts about working in this industry, and and her team do such a great job bringing both together for such a fun weekend 🫶🫶

😴 With that being said, I am absolutely EXHAUSTED and was dying that a busy conference weekend fell over daylight savings, but we all struggled together 🤣

Have you been to a travel writing/content creation conference before? If so, do you have a favorite one?

Postcards from Scottsdale ☀️🥾💦

I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to spend 3 days in the beautiful and sunny Arizona - one of my favorite places ❤️

☀️ Phoenix and Scottsdale became favorite cities after a spontaneous trip in May 2021, and Sam and I have been back countless times since.

This visit was spent with Sam’s aunt and uncle who have a few weeks every year at the (a rare treat for us 🤩)

We spent the past 3 days:

🥾 Hiking Pinnacle Peak and Brown’s Mountain
🌵 Seeing a Crested Saguaro (reminded me of broccoli)
⚾️ Watching the play a spring training game against the (we lost 😭) at Salt River Fields
👙Taking in the sun at the pool 🤩

Have you been to the Phoenix-area before? What are you favorite activities?

Can you relate to any of these? 💭

🌎 In a world that can be anything but open and honest, a little vulnerability here and there is so important!

And let’s face it, these things will probably still be true for me at 40, 50, and 60, and that’s okay! 🫶

I hope my love of travel only grows, and though nature and therapy help my anxiety, it’ll likely never go away 100%.

A WI State Park full of waterfalls and hiking trails? Heck yes! 👇

🥾 Amnicon Falls State Park in South Range, WI has 4 waterfall areas and around 2 miles of hiking trails. The waterfalls are easy to access and peaceful to watch and listen 🥹

🏊‍♂️ While jumping from rocks or diving into the water is not allowed, you can wade and swim in the Amnicon River and the pools that form around the falls (use caution!). It’s a great park to visit on a hot summer day.

⛺️ The park offers 36 mostly rustic campsites (no electric hookups, showers, or dump stations). It’s a very peaceful park with gorgeous views all around.

❄️ Snowshoeing and hiking are allowed during the winter months.

💰 An annual state park vehicle pass or day pass is required to visit.

🚘 Amnicon Falls State Park is about 30 minutes from Duluth, MN if you want to grab dinner or drinks out.
