✨ The Carousel of Progress is headed toward a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow! ✨
John, Sarah, and the whole family are getting a major refresh as this beloved classic reopens at Walt Disney World in 2027 🏰🚀
I am SO excited for this update! 💙
Here’s a quick look at the new decades we’ll experience during the renovation:
🌙 Act 1 – The 1960s
Set in summer 1969, the family gathers around the TV to watch the historic moon landing 🛰️🌕 — capturing the optimism, innovation, and wonder that define Carousel of Progress.
🎃 Act 2 – The 1980s
It’s Halloween night, 1985! Sarah takes center stage as she shows off the latest gadgets and appliances making life easier 🏠⚡
Meanwhile, John is handing out candy 🍬 and Uncle Orville is still complaining there’s “no privacy around here!” 🚿😂
🎆 Act 3 – The New Millennium
The family rings in New Year’s Eve 1999 🎉 as the countdown to 2000 begins.
The Internet 💻 is connecting everyone like never before, Grandpa has already fallen asleep 😴, and Grandma has secretly switched the TV to wrestling 🤼
🚀 Act 4 – The Possible Future
The grand finale takes us to a futuristic home off planet 🌌
Think helpful robots 🤖, space travel 🛸, and the imaginative future Disney has always dreamed of.
✨ Inspired by original sketches from Disney Legend John Hench, this finale reminds us that there really is a great big beautiful tomorrow.
📅 To prepare for this exciting next chapter, Carousel of Progress will temporarily close beginning July 6, 2026, with reopening expected in 2027.
Who else is excited to see this iconic attraction evolve again? 🎠💫
