I absolutely love this time of year! The property is beaming with wildlife. Sitting on the porch of the Mrs. Judy cabin, I just watched these two pairs of Canadian geese fly over the horse pasture and land in the pond.

It may be a little premature to start burning with all the snow we still have and how wet the deadfall is. Although open burn started on the first, and I just can’t help myself to get a jumpstart on things around. We’re so excited to kickoff the 2025 season. Frank is trying his darndest to help with the cleanup efforts.

Bly and I have been hard at it getting everything ready for our 2024 season. It is such a big help at 11, he knows how to run the heavy equipment and understands all of my hand signals. It saves me so much time not having to get in and out of the machine.
