Big boy killed it today!!! With the help of his endless courage, conviction and conditioning, Otto’s efforts today earned him his NCD (Novice 5K Canicross Dog) title, his 100 Lifetime Achieved Miles Award, and a Top 20 Finish at our first Obstacle Race (and let’s just say that everyone who rolled in ahead of us had at least 2 decades less “wisdom” on their side). This dog knows no quit—he even swam today!!!

This guy. I dare you to tag him as your running buddy and not feel pain. Today, he pushed me to my limits yet again. We logged a 5K PR, and even as we were doing it (as my lungs were burning and my legs were howling), I had the thought that it was too easy. We need one more 5K race to get him his first Canicross title, but I see us stepping up to 10k for our next chapter. More proof that you only get better in the presence of relentless drive and enthusiasm!!!
