Buen Sabor Tours is putting together a small-group adventure for June 2027, and we’re looking for people who travel with an appetite.

Join Chef Kyle Gairhan for nine days exploring Montevideo, Colonia del Sacramento, and Buenos Aires. We’ll spend most of our time in Uruguay, getting to know the country through its food, neighborhood cafés, markets, and the people around the table.

Four special meals are part of the trip:
• A welcome parrilla dinner with w**e
• A w**ery lunch and tasting
• An asado with local hosts
• A farewell dinner in Montevideo

In Buenos Aires, we’ll make time for Argentine grills, neighborhood exploring. There’s room to wander, find your own favorite spot, and follow a good recommendation.

Proposed price: $2,995 per person, based on two sharing a room.

Includes eight nights of lodging, chef hosting, scheduled group transportation and ferry crossings, selected activities, and the four featured meals. Airfare, airport taxis, other meals, and additional drinks are separate.

We need at least five travelers to make this departure happen. Dates and final pricing will be confirmed before booking.

Ring in 2027 in Cuba.

Buen Sabor Tours is heading to Havana for a special 7-day New Year’s trip, December 28, 2026 – January 3, 2027, and we’re making New Year’s Eve the centerpiece of the week.

We’ll explore Havana, eat incredible Cuban food, spend time in local neighborhoods, enjoy the music and culture, and take a full day to relax on the beach in Guanabo.

But December 31 is going to be something special.

We’ll celebrate Fin de Año with a traditional Cuban feast featuring a whole roasted pig, congrí, yuca with mojo, maduros, Cuban bread, dessert and drinks. There’ll be music, dominoes, dancing and plenty of time to enjoy the night.

At midnight, we’ll join in some of Cuba’s New Year traditions:

• Eat 12 grapes for luck in the coming year
• Throw a bucket of water out the door to leave the old year behind
• Walk around the block with a suitcase for a year filled with travel
• Raise a toast together at midnight
• Dance and celebrate our way into 2027

And we’re not packing every minute with tours. January 1 is for sleeping in, eating, recovering and enjoying Havana at an easy pace. Then we’ll spend a day at the beach in Guanabo before wrapping up the week.

I’m running a small group to Cuba June 23–30 through Buen Sabor Tours.

We’ve added a new section to the Buen Sabor Tours website focused on Kosher and Jewish group travel to Cuba.
These trips are designed for Jewish travelers who want to experience Cuba in a way that is thoughtful, culturally immersive, and logistically sound, while maintaining kosher standards when required.
The tours are group-based and intentionally small. Kosher meals are prepared in certified kosher kitchens, and the itineraries are built to allow space for culture, history, community, and personal connection. The trips are not tied to any single denomination and are suitable for Reform through Orthodox groups. Non-kosher Jewish cultural trips are also available for groups that prefer that option.
This is not standard tourism. It’s a deeper way to experience Cuba with people who understand both the culture on the ground and the needs of Jewish travelers.
