Exciting news for Merced! The Virginia Smith Trust (VST) annexation has officially been finalized. This marks a major step forward for the city's growth, as 650 acres of land just south of UC Merced will now be transformed into a vibrant community with new homes, parks, retail, and commercial spaces.

In addition to the development, this project will help fund scholarships for local students through the Virginia Smith Trust, which has awarded nearly $7 million in scholarships to Merced students.
