Another certification added to the Citrus Travel portfolio. 🌴🚢

I’m excited to share that I’ve officially completed the Margaritaville at Sea Travel Advisor Academy and am now a Certified Margaritaville at Sea Travel Advisor.

Part of being a luxury travel advisor is continuing to learn the brands I recommend — not simply where they go, but what makes each experience different and which traveler it may be the right fit for.

Margaritaville at Sea has some exciting things happening right now, including the debut of the new Beachcomber in January 2027. The ship will feature Same Boat, a live-music venue created in collaboration with three-time GRAMMY® winner Zac Brown — an artist-designed space centered around live performances, cocktails and that laid-back Margaritaville atmosphere.

And Margaritaville at Sea may surprise you if you’ve never looked closely at the brand.

They offer everything from quick 2- to 5-night escapes from Palm Beach to longer 4- to 10-night itineraries, with sailings from Palm Beach, Tampa and, beginning in 2027, Miami.

September 11, 2001 — the day the world stood still. 🇺🇸

For those of us who remember that day, we also remember how suddenly the world became quiet. American airspace was shut down. Flights stopped. Travelers were stranded far from home. And when the skies eventually reopened, traveling would never feel quite the same.

Security changed almost overnight. Airports looked and felt different. There were heightened screenings, security personnel and dogs checking baggage, and new procedures that would eventually become part of the way we travel today.

I remember being stranded on an island and, when we were finally able to travel home, arriving in Miami to a completely different airport experience than the one we had known just days earlier.

But today isn’t about how travel changed.

It’s about why it changed.

We remember the thousands of lives lost, the heroes who ran toward danger, the families who never got to welcome someone home, and a day that forever became part of our collective history.

Twenty-five years later, we still remember where we were.
We still remember how it felt.
And we will never forget. 🇺🇸

🎸 A MUST-SEE ABOARD NORWEGIAN AQUA! 🎶🛳️

Today was a beautiful day at sea as we make our way home aboard the Norwegian Aqua. I’ll share more about our Bermuda adventures in a future post, but I HAD to share what we just experienced!

Tonight we saw the Syd Norman’s band perform Fleetwood Mac’s legendary Rumours album in the Aqua Theater — and WOW. They were absolutely incredible.

The vocals, the musicians, the energy, and the lighting throughout the theater made this such an amazing experience. The band was fantastic from beginning to end.

If you love Fleetwood Mac and the Rumours album, this is an absolute must-see. And even if you’re simply a fan of great live music, don’t miss it!

Video wasn’t permitted during the performance, so I only have a few photos to share — but honestly, this is one of those shows you need to experience in person. 🎶❤️

Definitely another highlight of our time aboard the Norwegian Aqua!

⚓️ Meet the Captain — Aboard Norwegian Aqua

One of the special touches during our sailing aboard Norwegian Aqua was receiving an invitation to the Captain’s Cocktail Party in the Observation Lounge.

Pictured here at the entrance to the Observation Lounge is Captain Robert Hammerin, along with members of his senior officers and crew, greeting guests as they arrived for the private event.

The 45-minute reception included cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, giving invited guests the opportunity to mingle with the ship’s leadership in one of Aqua’s most beautiful spaces.

As a travel advisor, I love being able to experience Norwegian Aqua firsthand and share these special touches with you — because knowing the ships I sell helps me create better cruise experiences for my clients. 💙⚓️

🌊 We’re Sailing Through a “Sea Within a Sea!”

Today aboard Norwegian Aqua, as we make our way from New York to Bermuda, we’re sailing through the Sargasso Sea — known as the “sea within a sea.”

What makes it so unique? It’s the only sea in the world with no land boundaries. Instead, it’s surrounded by ocean currents and is famous for its floating Sargassum seaweed, which creates an important habitat for sea turtles, fish and other marine life.

And here’s the coolest part — Bermuda is the only landmass within the Sargasso Sea! 🇧🇲

Just another reminder that sometimes the journey is just as interesting as the destination. 🛳️💙

🛳️ DAY 1: Philadelphia Suburbs → NYC → NCL AQUA!

Yesterday started bright and early! At about 7:00 AM, our driver picked us up in the Philadelphia suburbs and we headed to Manhattan Cruise Terminal, Pier 88, to board the beautiful Norwegian Aqua for our getaway to Bermuda! 🌴🌊

Our scheduled port arrival time was 9:30 AM, and we arrived around 10:00. Check-in went smoothly, and with priority boarding and accessibility assistance, we were among the first guests aboard after Haven guests. By about 11:00 AM, we were officially on the Aqua! 🛳️

Our home for the next few days is a balcony stateroom, where we were welcomed with chocolate-covered strawberries and a bottle of Prosecco waiting for us. 🍓🥂 Such a nice way to start our cruise!

And that balcony gave us one of my favorite moments of the day. As we sailed down the Hudson, we were on the starboard side, giving us an incredible view of the Statue of Liberty right from our balcony. 🗽❤️

We started our time onboard with a sit-down lunch at Hudson’s, with its gorgeous panoramic views. Dinner was at Cagney’s Steakhouse, one of Norwegian’s specialty restaurants, followed by a cocktail at the Metropolitan Bar while listening to live music — including “Let’s Stay Together,” “How Deep Is Your Love,” and plenty of other favorites. 🎶🍸

Today is our day at sea, and we’re out in the Atlantic making our way toward Bermuda! We arrive tomorrow morning and will enjoy an overnight stay before heading back to New York. 🇧🇲

One of the reasons I love cruising is that I get to experience these ships firsthand so I can better help my clients choose the right ship, stateroom, itinerary, and experiences for their needs.

The Disney Wish is scheduled to sail from NYC in Fall 2027, with several incredible itineraries including Bermuda, Canada & New England, plus a special one-way sailing from New York to San Juan, Puerto Rico!

🎃 Select sailings will also feature Halloween on the High Seas!

🐟 A Fun Cruise Ship Hallway Secret! 🚢

Ever get turned around in those long cruise ship hallways? You’re definitely not alone!

On many Norwegian Cruise Line ships, the fish on the stateroom hallway carpet swim toward the front — or bow — of the ship.

➡️ Swimming with the fish = Forward
⬅️ Fish swimming toward you = Aft

And NCL isn’t the only cruise line that uses little visual tricks to help guests find their way. Disney Cruise Line and other cruise lines may use carpet patterns, themed details, signs, colors, or other subtle design cues to help you figure out which direction you’re heading.

The exact clue can vary from ship to ship, so next time you cruise, take a closer look at the hallway around you — there may be a navigation trick hiding right under your feet! 👀
