There’s nothing quite like a morning spent sitting on the shore of Chimney Pond. As we await summer’s return, we dream of moments like this.

Another amazing adventure through the Maine wilderness.

These amazing ladies joined us for a trip up the Hunt trail and down the Abol trail on Katahdin. This adventure was part of their goal to hike a portion of the Appalachian Trail in each state it passes through. We couldn’t have asked for better weather!

Experience the beauty of Katahdin’s famed knife edge.

Our 2026 trips are now open for booking, featuring single-day outings and a 3-day excursion based out of serene and picturesque Chimney Pond.

Assisting others in conquering Maine’s highest peak is incredibly rewarding, especially when we get to share our passion for the area. Patricia and Lewis were standouts from this season - we’re already looking forward to their return in 2026!

It was a pleasure to spend three days in Baxter State Park, enjoying Chimney Pond and the surrounding area, with Kim and Rob. Katahdin put on a show for us with changing weather patterns, including temps dropping into the 30-40s and high winds, yet we were still able to visit both Blueberry Knoll and Baxter Peak during our trek! June 27-29, 2025.

Thru-hike 101. Two days of hands-on prep followed by four days in the field. We covered a variety of topics aimed at preparing these hopeful hikers for a multi-month Journey along the Appalachian Trail. This course included navigation, stream fording safety, food storage & safety, meal prep & planning, nutrition, injury avoidance & management, pace & distance estimation, pack fitting & packing, full shakedowns of each participants backpacking kit, and much more! We will have two courses in July 2026.
