Join us for three days in beautiful Baxter State Park on our 3 Day: Knife Edge & Katahdin Hike! The serene and picturesque Chimney Pond Campground will be our base camp as we make our attempt. This is a fully guided trip. Six spots are available for each trip.

We have a couple spots still available on our week long thru-hiking course. This course can be taken the year prior to attempting a thru-hike or it can be the start to your 2025 southbound thru-hike attempt, as we climb Katahdin and cover the first 41 miles heading south. Come join us for a week of fun and skill building in the Maine wilderness.

Developed by successful thru-hikers, this five day course utilizes hands-on skill building in both on-site workshops and in-the-field training, to prepare you for a multi-month long distance trail.

Due to both of our 5 day Slack-packing trips selling out early, we have added a third one for September 7-13! There are eight spots available. This trip covers the northernmost 56.0 miles of the Appalachian Trail and Katahdin, for a total of 60.4 miles. Refer to our website for details.

The Katahdin region holds many great recreational opportunities other than hiking. Penobscot River Trails is a nature preserve, along the East Branch of the Penobscot River, that offers donation based rentals for cycling, xc skiing, and snowshoeing. With 16 miles of groomed trail this is the perfect wilderness setting for an exciting day trip.

Another fantastic adventure into the Maine wilderness! Over nine days we covered the 115 miles of the Appalachian Trail from Monson to Katahdin. Good weather, great company, and amazing views made for an unforgettable experience. Thank you to everyone that participated in this trip. It was truly a pleasure getting to spend nine days with you on our favorite section of the AT!

The Owl, is a fantastic half day (5-7 hour) alternative to climbing Katahdin. This 6.6 mile out and back hike gains approximately 2657 feet of elevation to panoramic views of the southwestern side of Baxter State Park, as well as the famed 100 Mile Wilderness to the south.

Our first guided Katahdin ascent of the season was an unforgettable experience! Working together with friend & guide Tori, aka The Wilderness Guru, we led Scout Troop 147 from Philadelphia on their first adventure into Maines largest wilderness.
