September is off and running, and so are my travelers! ✈️

We have amazing trips happening all throughout Europe this month, plus an adults-only Virgin Voyages cruise to Alaska. A little European charm, a little glacier gazing, and so many memories ahead!

Already dreaming about 2027? Now is a great time to get Alaska cruises, summer Europe adventures, and spring break getaways on the calendar, especially if your dates are firm or you’re traveling with a group.

Apparently everyone has the same idea this year because I am booking a LOT of January adult only, all-inclusive getaways right now...and honestly, I get it. :-)

Once the holidays are over and we’re deep into winter, there is something pretty wonderful about knowing you have sunshine, a gorgeous beach, cocktails, great food, and absolutely NOTHING you have to do waiting for you.

And adult only all-inclusive does NOT have to mean basic buffet food and watered-down drinks. There are some seriously beautiful, elevated resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean with amazing restaurants, gorgeous suites, spas, swim-ups, private plunge pools, butler service, and beaches you could stare at all day.

Plus, one price covers the majority of your vacation, which makes it SO much easier to budget and actually relax once you’re there.

If January-you would like to be sitting on a beach instead of scraping ice off your windshield, now is the time to start planning.

The planning phase of a Europe trip has a way of starting as something exciting and slowly becoming something you dread opening a tab for.

By the time most people come to me they've already spent hours on it and they're more confused and less confident than when they started.

This is not a sign that they did something wrong, it's just what happens when you try to make a high-stakes decision using the entire internet as your research tool.

My advice? Skip the hours of Googling and start by reaching out to an EXPERT who creates beautiful, customized European itineraries every single day for a living. :-)

Handing it off is not admitting defeat. It's just a better use of everyone's time.

After 20+ years in hospitality, hotels, events, and now travel, I’ve learned that the little details are usually what take a trip from good to REALLY good.

Knowing which room to book. Understanding location. Building an itinerary that actually flows. Having someone to call when plans change. And knowing when spending a little more matters and when it absolutely doesn’t.

Experience is chic. Good planning is chic. Traveling smarter is chic.

And yes, using a travel advisor? Very chic.

Every traveler has their own “must-haves,” but I definitely have a few travel non-negotiables that I recommend whenever possible.

• Nonstop flights. Fewer connections usually means fewer chances for delays, missed flights, or lost luggage. If the budget allows, I’m almost always choosing nonstop.

• Travel insurance. I hope you never need it… but if you do, you’ll be so glad you have it. Weather, illness, injuries, cancellations, and delays can happen to anyone. As an advisor, I’ve seen it all 🫣

Will I book a connecting flight or a trip without insurance if that’s what you choose? Of course! It’s your vacation. My job is to give you the pros and cons so you can make the best decision for you or your family.

August is one of those rare months where things slow down just enough to catch my breath.

This month is slower with clients in France, Croatia, and Norway, and in a few weeks, I’m sneaking away for a fun sibling trip to Nashville to finally see the Foo Fighters! 🎸

I’m soaking up this slower pace because I know what’s waiting around the corner. And once September hits, it’s a whirlwind with birthdays, back-to-school, MN State Fair, gymnastics, dance, work trips, personal trips… and a LOT of amazing clients heading off on their own adventures.

For now though? I’ll enjoy the calm, recharge a bit, and get ready for another busy season, which I’m eternally grateful for.

There is something about a hotel room built around enjoyment and comfortable lingering that does a whole heck of a lot for a relationship.

No agenda, no one needing anything from you, just genuinely good coffee or chilled champagne arriving at a time you actually chose.
