We extend our deepest condolences on the passing of His Majesty King Harald V. May comfort and strength be with the Royal Family and the people of Norway during this time of great loss.

It is with a heavy heart that we at Norway House join the people of Norway and those all over the world in mourning the passing of our Royal Patron, His Majesty King Harald V. His Majesty was a deeply cherished symbol of the enduring bond between Norway and the United States, and his lifelong dedication to inclusion and service will forever inspire us. Our thoughts and deepest prayers are with the Royal Family and all who feel this profound loss.

Please join us in ways to gather and remember, together:
• Flowers can be placed in front of "Seeds"—our sister-city pinecone sculpture with Sotra, Norway, and a symbol of connection and immigration—on the plaza at Norway House. Condolences can be shared in a guest book inside Norway House.

• A special church service will be held at Mindekirken, our neighbor, at 10:00 am on Sunday, followed by a community gathering to sing the Norwegian national anthem on the plaza at 11:00 am. Overflow seating will be available at Norway House following the service.

That's a wrap on our Iceland Solar Eclipse 2026 Signature Journey! As usual, we made one last stop at the Blue Lagoon before heading home. So many incredible memories, new friendships, and moments we’ll never forget. 🩵

Another incredible day exploring Iceland! Our group headed out on a private tour of the South Coast, visiting the beautiful Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls. Then, we continued to Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, where we enjoyed a treat of local specialties and were surprised by a visit from a colony of puffins perched along the towering basalt columns. To top it off, we enjoyed a bonus off-roading adventure along a remote beach surrounded by Iceland’s wild landscape!

Cloudy skies kept us from seeing the eclipse, but our group still got to experience the darkness and magic of totality! They made the most of their day enjoying snacks with our wonderful hosts and raising a toast to a day spent in good company. 🌑✨

Our Iceland Solar Eclipse group got up close and personal with Icelandic horses before setting out on a private tour of the Golden Circle. Along the way, they explored the beautiful Þingvellir National Park, witnessed the power of Gullfoss waterfall, and watched Strokkur geyser erupt.

A beautiful sunny start to our Iceland Solar Eclipse small group tour! After arriving, our group enjoyed breakfast at Viking World Museum and explored Reykjavík on a local food tour. The adventure has officially begun!

Our Iceland Eclipse pre-departure meeting last night was a great success! It was wonderful to see our small group of travelers meet one another, share their excitement, and start building connections before the journey begins. ✈️🇮🇸
