A great evening out on the Horseshoe Chain with Jesse, Ed, and Jamie! I lost count how many we caught but I think it was around 15. Moving around and casting bobbers is such a fun way to catch catfish!

It's not often we catch 2 30lb Flatheads AND a 20lb channel cat on the same trip, but that's exactly what Daniel "Goose", Erik, and Zach did last night! Not only that, but they also boated a dozen more on top of that. Not too shabby for guys that have never caught a catfish before. 👍
Great weather, great conversation, and great fishing!

Catching a giant Sturgeon under the "Sturgeon Moon" during a Lunar Eclipse would have made a great story for Jim ,Dan ,Trigger, and Charlie. Unfortunately we had to settle for a few smaller ones and also mixed in a few cats.
The eclipse was beautiful though!

The first Sturgeon trip of the year was a success with Carolyn, Luca, and Louis!
It was a nice change of pace to be back out on the Croix and it was a beautiful night too.

We bounced around quite a bit with Andrew and Chris last night looking for some bigger fish, but there was a lack of cooperation on the fishes part. Tried just about every thing I could think of, but our timing was just off.

We did find some fish though and it was a beautiful night on the river with a definite Fall chill in the air. I almost had to put a sweatshirt on. 😀

The Flatheads wanted no part in getting their pictures taken the past 2 nights. The channel cats were ready to party though.
Hopefully tonight's Whisker Run participants have a little better luck finding those Flatheads...

A "quick trip" tonight on the MN with Jesse and Becca. They boated a nice mixture of fish and they were still going pretty good when we packed up for the night.

A fun evening out on the water with Kevin and Hadley! Several nice cats and also another giant Drum. Hadley also caught a sweet "non-typical" forked whisker.
We had a nice Flathead break off on us too. ☹️. I've been fishing a lot of rocky areas lately and the biggest downside to rocks is that it gets risky for line breaks when using braid and you hook a big fish, and unfortunately that's exactly what happened to us.
Kevin let Hadley catch most of the fish but he also boated a sumo 33" Chan that probably went 14-15lbs.
