You know you want to 💜
If you have little-little ones, you're not going to want to sleep on the newest Universal theme park that opens on July 1st!
Located in Frisco, Texas (about 25 miles from Dallas), Universal Kids Resort features its own 300-room hotel, which is just steps away from seven lands of fun.
We're talking about:
💚 DreamWorks’ Shrek’s Swamp
🤎 Jurassic World Adventure Camp
🩵 Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom
💛 Illumination’s Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club
💜 DreamWorks’ TrollsFest
❤️ DreamWorks’ Puss in Boots Del Mar
🩷 Isle of Curiosity featuring DreamWorks' Gabby's Dollhouse
Tickets and packages are open now for July 1-September 30, 2026, with future dates going on sale a bit later.
What you'll want to know:
🤩Universal Kids Resort is ideal for the under 8 crowd.
🤩This park is SMALL. 2 park days are ideal, as it'll give you leisurely time to do it all, complete with mid-day breaks, and repeat your faves.
🤩 It's VERY well-priced right now. I took a look at a few 3-night stays with 2 days in the park this summer and packages were pricing at about $1500 for a family of 4. And Labor Day weekend? Think under $1250! Universal operates on dynamic pricing, which increases as demand goes up. These are rates we're going to want to lock in now, as they're not sticking around.
🤩Wanting to maximize your time in Texas? Disney, Norwegian, and Royal Caribbean all feature sailings out of the Galveston cruise port. Fly into DFW, do Universal Kids for a couple days, then take the 5-hour trip down to Galveston and hop on your ship. Sounds pretty perfect to me...
