And honestly… I get it.

THE YETI IS COMING BACK TO LIFE ON EXPEDITION EVEREST!
Disney announced that the legendary Yeti inside Expedition Everest is getting a BIG update, bringing the creature back to life in a whole new way.
If you’ve ridden Everest, you know the Yeti has been lurking in the shadows for years… so this is a pretty HUGE deal.

And for those of us who have been joking about the Disco Yeti for the last 20 years…

Day 8 and we’re back at Magic Kingdom for another one of the announcements I’m REALLY excited about!

THE CAROUSEL OF PROGRESS IS GETTING A BIG UPDATE!
And Disney is taking us through some pretty fun new decades while keeping the heart of this classic attraction intact.
🎙️ Jamie Lee Curtis and Bryan Cranston will be the new voices of Mom & Dad.
🌙 We’ll travel through the 1960s, 1980s, the turn of the millennium, and into the future — with everything from the moon landing to the early days of the internet.
🤖 And the BIG one… Walt Disney himself will be added to the attraction in a new opening scene!

The goal is to keep the spirit of Walt’s original vision alive while showing how technology continues to change our everyday lives.
And yes… “There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow” will continue to be part of the show.

The updated Carousel of Progress is expected to debut late spring 2027.
As someone who loves the classic Disney attractions, I’m really excited to see this one come back with a fresh take while still honoring what Walt created.

We’re back at Animal Kingdom for Day 7 of my D23 catch-up, and today’s news is for the Indiana Jones fans!

We finally have a name for the ride replacing DINOSAUR (RIP🥺🪦)
INDIANA JONES AND THE MYTH OF THE JADE SERPENT
And Disney dropped some pretty exciting details…
🏺 You’ll join Indy as he explores an ancient Maya temple and gets pulled into the Maya Underworld.
🐍 Expect giant scorpions, bats, fire… and of course, SNAKES. Because apparently Indy hasn’t suffered enough. 😂
🤠 Harrison Ford himself is the model for the new Indiana Jones Audio-Animatronic! This will be the first Disney attraction anywhere in the world featuring an animatronic modeled after him.

This is all part of the new Tropical Americas land coming to Animal Kingdom.
Between Indiana Jones AND Encanto, Animal Kingdom is getting some pretty exciting additions.

Back to EPCOT for Day 6 of my D23 catch-up and this one is all about an EPCOT icon…

SPACESHIP EARTH IS GETTING AN UPDATE!
For the first time in nearly 20 years, Disney is reimagining the attraction and bringing it into the internet age and beyond.
The biggest change we know so far? The focus will expand from the history of communication to the broader idea of human connection.

We don’t have a ton of details yet, but I’m definitely curious to see what Disney has planned for one of EPCOT’s most iconic attractions!

Okay, I’m going back to Magic Kingdom for Day 5 for my FAVORITE announcement from D23.

CARS IS COMING TO FRONTIERLAND!
Disney gave us some BIG new details about Piston Peak National Park, and it sounds SO good.
🏁 Cars Ridge Run Rally
A brand-new racing attraction where you’ll actually feel the bumps, drops and terrain because the ride vehicles have real tires and suspension that react to the course.
You’ll race through rugged trails, climb a snow-covered mountain, fly down a camelback descent, hit a geyser field and race past Lightning McQueen and Mater at the finish line.

💥 Miss Fritter’s Daredevil Spin-Along
Miss Fritter — the Diva of Demolition herself — will be a HUGE animatronic hosting her wildest demolition derby yet.

Piston Peak will bring mountains, waterfalls, rivers, geysers and national-park-inspired scenery to this new area of Frontierland.
This one has me VERY excited.

Day 4 of catching up on all the D23 announcements, and today we’re heading over to Animal Kingdom! If you have an Encanto fan in your family, you’re going to want to hear about this one.

ANTONIO’S FIESTA DE ENCANTO is the official name of the new attraction coming to the Tropical Americas!
🦋 You’ll visit Casita on Antonio’s gift day as he discovers his ability to communicate with animals.
🐆 Inside Antonio’s room, you’ll enter a rainforest filled with 50+ different animals — including a capybara, toucan and donkey!
🎉 Even better: THERE IS NO HEIGHT REQUIREMENT, making this one a great option for the whole family.

More coming to Tropical Americas!
🎠 El Carrusel de los Animalitos will feature 22 hand-carved animal figures inspired by Disney & Pixar stories.
🐍 Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent will bring a brand-new adventure to Animal Kingdom.
🌿 Plus, a huge hacienda-style quick-service restaurant, shopping, and a Maya-inspired play area are all part of the plans.

Tropical Americas is really starting to take shape, and I’m loving seeing this new area of Animal Kingdom come together.

Day 3 of catching up on all the D23 news, and today we’re heading to Hollywood Studios and this one is for all my Monsters, Inc. fans.

MONSTROPOLIS IS COMING IN 2027!
While construction continues on the new land (and that door coaster that will open at a later date), Disney gave us a LOT more details about what we’ll find when humans are finally allowed into the monster world.

🎭 Glob Theater — Mike & Sulley will host a brand-new show called Welcome to Monstropolis, featuring a new song by Disney Legend Randy Newman!
🍕 Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza — because apparently monsters and humans can agree on one very important thing: pizza.
🍣 Harryhausen’s Restaurant — the famous sushi restaurant from the movie is becoming a real dining location, complete with an Audio-Animatronic chef!
🛍️ Scareporium — a new shop for all your Monstropolis souvenirs.
🎓 And you’ll even be able to check out the Monsters University Alumni Club, including the elite Scarer’s Club.

And the whole reason humans are being welcomed into Monstropolis? H.U.M.A.N. Day — Humans Understanding Monsters Are Nice.
Basically, the monster world is opening its doors to us for the very first time, and I CANNOT wait to see it!
