The Lovers Leap has officially arrived! 🚢🎉

Take a look at this incredible drone shot of the Lovers Leap docked in Chicago just a few mornings ago, catching a stunning sunrise over Lake Michigan right next to Soldier Field. 🌆✨

While it looks peaceful here, this was the calm before an epic sprint. After being held up in Wilmington, Illinois since April 20th, the crew officially got back on the move and they haven't wasted a single second! 🚨⚓️

Here is how this whirlwind journey across the Great Lakes unfolded:
🔹 May 29th: Arrived in Chicago from Wilmington (where this gorgeous footage was captured!).
🔹 May 30th (Sunday): Departed Chicago and covered almost the entire length of Lake Michigan in a single day, pushing straight into Lake Huron and the St. Mary’s River.
🔹 Today (Monday): Traveled up the St. Mary's River, locked through the historic Soo Locks, and made the final push across Lake Superior...

🏁 She officially made it home! The Lovers Leap tied up at our city dock right at 5:00 PM this afternoon. 🙌🎉

The fleet is offically together in Munising, and we couldn't be more excited for the incredible 2026 season ahead.

When you book a cruise, the last thing you want to worry about is a stressful scramble at the docks. That’s why we’ve designed our entire passenger experience to be completely seamless from the moment you pull into our parking lot in Munising!

🎟️ Need tickets? If you don't have them yet, no problem! You can make a quick stop at our ticket counter right inside the gift shop before heading to the boats.

Once you have your tickets ready, boarding is as easy as 1-2-3:

Step 1: Enter the gift shop from either entrance, walk toward and through the boarding door (passing the ticket counter on your way), and head down the ramp straight onto our loading facility.

Step 2: Follow the signs to enter the boarding line for your specific trip—either the Classic Cruise or the Spray Falls Cruise.

Step 3: Boarding begins 15 minutes before departure, and seating is first-come, first-served! To grab your favorite spot on deck, we recommend joining the line anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour before your trip leaves.

⚓️ After the trip: Once your boat docks, you’ll exit right back through the gift shop. Make sure to stop and browse our gear, apparel, and local keepsakes to find the perfect memory to take home with you! 👕🧢

There are spots along the Pictured Rocks shoreline where the 200-foot sandstone cliffs sit almost straight overhead. Photos and videos can't quite capture the scale, but when you're cruising right next to them, it feels like you can reach out and touch the rock. ✨🌊

Cruising past the giants on Lake Superior. ⚓️🌊

There is nothing quite like looking up at some of the tallest cliffs on the lakeshore, panning through the hidden beauty of Chapel Cove, and catching Bridalveil Falls in full spring flow! Pictures truly don’t do the scale of these rock formations justice. You have to see them from the water to believe it.

The perfect May day on Lake Superior ☀️💎

We’re out on the water today and conditions couldn't be better. The sun is out, the water is a stunning emerald green, and Grand Portal is putting on an absolute show.

Standing right at 200 feet above the water, this is the tallest rock formation along the Pictured Rocks mainland—and there’s nothing like seeing that massive scale from the deck of the boat! 🏔️⚓️

If you look closely at the cliffs in Chapel Cove, you can still see chunks of winter ice holding on—but it won't last much longer! ❄️

Catching the Pictured Rocks "Double Season" ❄️💎

There is a tiny window in May where winter and spring collide on Lake Superior. We’re out on the water today and the views are unreal—emerald green water clashing against some leftover cliff ice.

What’s happening on the cliffs right now:

The Emerald Glow: The water clarity is at its peak, making the lake look more like the Caribbean than Michigan.

Jasper Falls: Still framed by a snowpack and ice.

Bridalveil Falls: Roaring at full capacity! (Wait for the ending—this seasonal beauty is putting on a show).

These ice formations melt a little more every day. If you want to see the "Spring Ice Caves" and the heavy falls, now is the time to get on deck.

First weekend of the 2026 season is in the books and it feels good to be back! 🌊🛥️

We're looking forward to the new season, we are dreaming of some of the views that make this place so special. From that crystal-clear turquoise glow to the spring-time flow of Bridalveil Falls (Clip #4), there is nothing like Pictured Rocks.

Bridalveil is a seasonal beauty that really only shows off like this during the spring melt—and with the season officially open, now is the time to catch it before it slows to a trickle for the summer!

It’s officially Opening Day in Munising! 🌊🛥️

The fleet is ready and the cliffs are calling, but Mother Nature is showing her strength for the start of our 2026 season.

Current Lake Update:
We are keeping a very close eye on the forecast but right now it is very cold out there. While we are currently seeing manageable 1–2 foot waves, a Small Craft Advisory is in effect starting this afternoon. Predictions show waves building to 3–5 feet, with the potential for 7-footers by this evening.

Scheduled Trips:
As of right now, our 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM cruises are going as scheduled. However, please understand that we are monitor the weather minute-by-minute. If at any point the conditions deteriorate and we feel it is no longer safe or comfortable for our passengers, we will cancel trips immediately.

To our Booked Passengers:
Safety will always come before scenery. If we are forced to cancel, you will be notified via text/email as soon as the call is made.
