RED GROUPER is staying open for the remainder of 2025 (at least for now). And emergency ruling is being sent to the secretary of commerce to likely be signed off. These changes to the RG fishery were initially not to be enacted until 2026. Sometimes, we get victories through the council process. This is great news and it means that Red Grouper will be open for the duration of Red Snapper season which ends Sept 16. Let me know if you want to get on a trip, full boat or single spots.

has a new boat! 36 Contender cuddy in immaculate shape. It’s like saying goodbye to a good friend. The 31’ Contender has served me very well since Oct 2019. Many upgrades will be done to the new boat and the 31’ is headed back to the East Coast and the new user will carry the torch of this fish magnet. Will be hanging some new 350s and installing a Terrova Quest in time for Red Snapper Season. Book a trip!
