📣 Who's On Deck? Meet Maddox!

Maddox has been with us since the start of summer and has quickly become an essential part of the crew. You’ll find him just about everywhere, from the rental dock to our boats, and always jumping into maintenance projects. He recently wrapped up a long-standing rewire project 👏. Maddox doesn’t quit until the job is done, which makes his choice of rental dock mascot pretty perfect: the beaver, always busy and grinding. He especially enjoys deep sea trips where he can be completely out of touch with land.

Maddox is looking forward to gaining even more experience working on mechanics, especially diesel. He says the best part of the job is working with his friends, and we say the best part is having him on our crew!

📣 Who's On Deck? Meet Captain Chris!

Chris has been with us for 10 years and knows these waters like the back of his hand. On our eco tours, he’s learned to read the habits and behaviors of the local wildlife, making it easy for him to point out something special you might otherwise miss. He also leads our backwater fishing trips, where his favorite part is sharing in the excitement when someone reels in a catch.

Over the years, Chris has seen plenty out on the water, but his most memorable sighting was a whale shark passing through! Our crew knows we can always count on him to set the tone with professionalism and good humor. As a captain, he keeps an eye on tides, weather, and guest safety while making sure everyone has a great time.

Whether it’s fishing or sightseeing, you’re in good hands with Captain Chris—who will also tell you bananas on boats are just misunderstood and yes, he’s got the photos to prove it!

🛥 Rental Attendant / Mate:
This is an ideal entry-level position for someone looking to build a career in the marine industry. You’ll gain hands-on experience daily with boat handling, customer service, maintenance, and exposure to the industry — perfect for someone working toward their captain’s license or who just wants to be outside and busy. No two days are the same, and you’ll get exposure to all sides of the operation.

⚓️ Part-Time Office Assistant:
This position is based at our main ticket office and involves working directly with customers — booking reservations, answering questions, and keeping things running smoothly. We’re looking for someone who’s detail-oriented, great with people, flexible with their schedule, and comfortable using computers.

🚨 For both positions:
We take punctuality seriously. We’re looking for team members who are reliable, quick thinkers, and adaptable in a fast-paced setting. Weekends are a must!!!

📣 Who's On Deck? Meet Cooper!

We’ve been lucky enough to have Cooper as a part-time summer hire and he’s crushed it from day one. In just one season he has picked up everything from working the rental dock to helping on fishing boats and eco tours, rolling with whatever’s thrown at him. Personable, respectful, and always bringing his best, Cooper has made a big impression on his crew and customers in a short amount of time.

A sophomore at Baylor University studying business, he spends his off time exactly how you’d expect—fishing and boating with friends. We’re happy to have had him on our crew this summer, grateful for everything he’s brought to the team, and can’t wait until he’s back during school breaks!
