Buona Festa della Repubblica 🇮🇹

On June 2, 1946, Italy chose to become a republic.

Today the Frecce Tricolori paint the sky above Rome in green, white, and red — and across the country, Italians pause to remember what it means to be Italian.

Wherever you are in the world today, here’s to la nostra Italia 💚🤍❤️

We’re so ready for Memorial Day, the unofficial start of summer. The long weekend hits, the weather shifts, and maybe you’re thinking: this is the year I’m actually going to Italy 🇮🇹

We’re thrilled to announce that Ciao Andiamo has been named a Travelers’ Choice Awards Winner for 2026 — making it our 5th year in a row earning this honor 🇮🇹✨

Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Award celebrates the top 10% of listings worldwide, and we’re deeply grateful to be among them.

A heartfelt grazie mille to every traveler who has joined us to discover the real Italy — the hidden corners, the family-run trattorias, the sunsets over vineyards. Here’s to many more journeys together, one village and one glass of wine at a time 🧡

May 23rd is my birthday, I’ll turn 59 — not something I usually make a big deal of — but today I’m feeling especially grateful for the people who shaped my life along the way. Above all, my wife Cristiana and my son Federico, who are the foundation behind every decision, every risk, and every success. Then the family I was born into, the friends who became family, and the people I’ve traveled with, worked with, laughed with, and shared tables with. Every chapter, every place, every person leaves something behind. A lot of what we built with Ciao Andiamo comes from that feeling: that the best part of travel is who you experience it with. Grazie to everyone who’s been part of the journey so far.

Every region in Italy is worth visiting. When you go is key.

When we design trips in May, we always consider weather, crowds, scenery, and food. The actual experience of being there right now, in late spring, when Italy is at its
most livable.

Swipe through our picks 👉 and tell us: which region are you visiting
this year?

Some things in Italy never change — and thank goodness for that.

Fresh pasta made by hand, a floured wooden board, a brass wheel passed down through generations. This is the kind of cooking class you don't find on TripAdvisor. You find it because someone's nonna invited you in.

That's the Italy we want to show you 🇮🇹

📌 Save this if a hands-on pasta experience is on your Italy bucket list — we know exactly where to send you.

The most honest food experience in Italy doesn’t have a Michelin star. It has a paper plate, a cup of local wine, and a line that wraps around the piazza.

Sagra season is back, and if you’ve never been to one, this is your sign. A sagra is a local food festival, each one dedicated to a single ingredient or dish that the town has been making for generations.

Most tourists don’t go to sagre, but when you’re traveling with Ciao Andiamo, we make sure you can enjoy these truly local experiences.

Have you ever been to a sagra? Which one? 👇
