This carefully designed expedition combines the cosmopolitan character of Libreville, the extraordinary coastal wilderness of Loango National Park, the rainforest and savannah landscapes of Lopé National Park, and the coastal ecosystems of Pongara.
The experience is designed around Gabon’s greatest attraction: its wild landscapes and exceptional biodiversity. Rather than following a conventional savannah safari model, travelers explore a fascinating combination of rainforest, coastal forest, wetlands, lagoons and open savannah.
Loango is the centerpiece of the journey. Its unique combination of forest, savannah, lagoons and Atlantic coastline creates opportunities to search for forest elephants, buffalo, primates, antelope and other rainforest species, while boat excursions provide a different perspective on the park’s waterways.
