Hi everyone, we are currently fostering these two sweet dogs here in Portsmouth for Friends Of Homeless Animals RI. Florence and Flowood were rescued in July from a sweltering trailer in Mississippi along with 72 other dogs in the sweltering heat. From there they went to a partner rescue for a few months were they were spayed and treated for mange etc. Fohari got them up North in a transport and I picked them up two weeks ago in Fall River. They were absolutely terrified and didn’t even come out of their crate for 24 hours 😩
I allowed them to decompress slowly and they have really blossomed in two weeks. They are sweet, quiet dogs who really want to trust their people. Once they trust you they give gentle kisses and they don’t mind being picked up. They WILL require a fenced in yard because they are an absolute flight risk if they get scared(which they do). They likely have never worn leashes or collars. So they need someone willing to be patient and to allow them to blossom. Again, no children and a fenced in yard would be their ideal home. They’ve been through so much hardship. Please help us find them a loving home.
