Summer is in full swing here in Fairbanks, Alaska! ☀️

The sun is shining, the rivers are open, and the fishing has been excellent. We’ve been seeing plenty of action on the water, along with amazing wildlife and beautiful Interior Alaska scenery along the way.

One of the best parts of the trip is getting there. Our jet boat allows us to explore sections of river that many people never get to see, and the ride itself is part of the adventure. Running through Alaska’s wilderness, spotting wildlife, and experiencing the river from the water makes for an unforgettable day.

We’re super excited to offer our Delta Clearwater trophy Arctic grayling fishing adventures this season. It’s honestly one of our favorite trips we run — the scenery, the river, and the incredible grayling fishing make it a truly special experience here in Interior Alaska.

Since Solstice Adventure Company is currently just operated by me, scheduling these trips consistently across the board can sometimes be a little difficult while balancing everything else we offer. But this trip is something we’re really passionate about and absolutely want to keep doing.

The ice is finally gone and we made our first river run of the season with Solstice Adventure Company!

We had an absolute blast getting the boat back on the water and soaking in another beautiful day in Interior Alaska. Along the way we spotted a moose, a beaver, and tons of waterfowl including mallards, pintails, and Canada geese. There’s just something special about that first trip after a long winter, especially this winter

The ice has finally broken on the Chena River 🙌

After a long winter, it’s always a good feeling seeing open water again. Breakup is here, and that means we’re getting closer to summer adventures.

We’ll be getting the boat in the water soon and getting everything dialed in for the season ahead. Can’t wait to be back out there chasing fish, spotting wildlife, and sharing the river with you all.

We just wrapped up our first year out on the ice, and we couldn’t be more grateful for every single one of you who came along for the ride.

We braved one of the coldest winters Alaska has seen in over 100 years, pushed through some serious snowstorms, and still showed up day after day to chase fish together. And it paid off… because we caught a lot of fish and made even more memories.

From first catches to frozen beards, late nights under the sky, and everything in between this reel is just a small glimpse of some of our moments from the season. Sometimes it’s just too exciting for me to remember to hit the record button.

And just like that, we’re already shifting gears, getting the boat dialed in and ready for summer trips. We can’t wait to get back out on the water and take you all along for the ride.
