⚠️ IMPORTANT TRAVEL ALERT – READ BEFORE BOOKING BUSINESS OR FIRST CLASS ⚠️
A new type of restricted fare is appearing in premium cabin classes (Business & First Class) on international flights — think of it as "Basic Economy, but for Business Class."
United Airlines is among the first to introduce these, and more airlines are likely to follow.
🚫 WHAT THESE FARES DO NOT INCLUDE:
• No lounge access (even in Business/First Class!)
• No complimentary seat assignments
• No free changes — even before departure, fees may apply
• ZERO changes allowed after departure — including emergencies
• If you need to return home unexpectedly after your trip has begun, you must BUY A BRAND NEW TICKET
✅ WHAT THEY DO INCLUDE:
• The physical seat/cabin class only
• That's essentially it
💡 WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:
• ALWAYS read the fare rules in full before purchasing — don't assume premium = full-service
• Consider whether travel insurance with trip interruption coverage makes sense for your trip
• If flexibility matters to you at all, pay up for a full, unrestricted fare
This is a significant change in how premium air travel is being sold. The price may look attractive compared to a full Business Class fare — but the restrictions can be devastating if anything goes wrong.
