It would be rude of me to not give you a flight review, right?🍀
I rave about Aer Lingus, because they are truly amazing. Today, however, I’ve run into a handful of issues! And I will always be truthfully honest about my experiences!
My day started at Manchester International Terminal 2. Bag drop opened 2.5 hours before departure. I added a second checked bag during online check in, the day before my flight. Not only did I have an issue with the bag being added online, requiring contacting Aer Lingus, the bag drop seemed to have a bug or two. The system was not registering anyone’s bags causing staff to manually work the baggage belt. This caused the line to become very very long!
My flight from Manchester to Dublin became delayed, no reason mentioned, but we departed just over an hour later than planned. Usually, never a problem, but today I had a short connection! I had around 40 minutes to transfer through flight connections and clear US Pre-Clearance. Luckily (!!), I met an amazing family who helped me skip ahead in line to ensure I made my second flight. Surprisingly though, I wasn’t the last to board!😅
During the flight, they did not have my requested Gluten Free meal. I understand when this happens completely, until this was now the second time in a row with Aer Lingus forgetting this meal. Luckily, I picked up a meal deal in the terminal!!
Sometimes issues happen, and that is totally okay! You may become more stressed while you’re travelling, but it will always work out the way it’s supposed too! I have just listed the problems here, but Aer Lingus are still potentially my favourite airline. From staff, aircraft & even prices, you cannot beat Aer Lingus! 🍀⭐️✈️
