During the spring, summer and fall I run fishing charters on Lake Michigan for trout and salmon. In the fall, winter and spring I run guide trips for trout and salmon in the rivers of S.E. During the Winter I run guide trips in the harbors of Lake Michigan for brown trout and steelhead in addition to multi species trips on various inland lakes. From trolling to jigging back to trolling the bite has been fantastic. Yesterday was the first day of not putting 10 in the boat but it’s not like we had 3 or 5 shots at number 10 but that’s fishing (even though it feels pretty personal lol). It won’t be long till the kings are in the harbors where jigging will be in full force. If you want a trip give me a yell or send me a message.

With the wind, waves and rain, I figure today is a good day to catch up on posting some pics. Two Saturdays ago Josh, Nate, his nephew Jay and I fished the GLSF club tournament and with sketchy winds, I decided to stay shallow for kings and a bonus brown which paid off. Without being able to fish lakers I couldn’t be happier with what we had, 5 fish, 58.32lbs good enough for second place. After that it’s been knocking out some trips in between the blow days.

Salmon a Rama recap- Monday Nate, Tina and I fished Super Sweeps where after picking away on kings in the morning we ran out for trout where we could only stick 3 (had plenty of chances on the 4th). Overall we took 12th with 92.5lbs. Tuesday-Thursday has been a blur and never in a million years would I have thought I’d be wearing a respirator while fishing (thank you Canada and Minnesota). But ended up with an upgrade 19.22lb laker and this morning stuck a solid 15.5lb brown. It’ll be interesting to see if I get to fish tomorrow with the wind forecast.

Day 1 of Salmon a Rama is in the books for me. It was kinda slow, missed a few, couple small kings but did stick a 16.5lb king trolling and a 10.8lb bow jigging. Time for some sleep then two in a boat in the morning
