🇮🇹 ITALY AT A GLANCE: SICILY 🇮🇹

A few highlights, favorites and firsthand experiences from our time exploring Sicily!

📍 SYRACUSE & ORTIGIA

🏨 Palazzo Artemide: Beautiful hotel in the heart of historic Ortigia, just steps from the Cathedral, Baroque architecture, charming streets and the waterfront. The location was fantastic!

🏛️ Private Syracuse Tour: We explored the Neapolis Archaeological Park, Greek Theater, Roman Amphitheater, Ear of Dionysius and the historic sights of Ortigia with a private guide and vehicle.

🍴 Ortigia Street Food Tour: We explored the local market, sampled authentic Sicilian food and discovered some off-the-beaten-path spots. A fun way to experience the local food and culture.

🌊 We also explored the rocky beach in Ortigia. The water was absolutely beautiful!

🍕 One place we really enjoyed was Frankie's Pizza Bar.

📍 TAORMINA

🏨 Splendid Hotel Taormina: Fantastic location within walking distance of shopping and restaurants, plus a rooftop pool with beautiful views. The rooms were on the smaller side and a bit dated.

🛴 Segway Tour: Such a fun way to see Taormina! We covered much more ground than we could have walking, learned the history and stopped at some amazing photo spots. Our guide was fabulous!

🌋 Mount Etna Quad Tour: Vineyards, lava caves and even riding through streams. Such a fun way to experience Mount Etna!

🍇 Winemaking & Grape Stomping: One of my favorite experiences! We explored the vineyards, learned about growing grapes on Mount Etna, stomped grapes barefoot and finished with a wine tasting in an ancient palmento. Such a fun and authentic experience!

❤️ Sicily gave us incredible food, history, scenery and some truly unforgettable experiences.

One of the best parts of being a travel advisor is experiencing these destinations firsthand so I can share my experiences and honest insight with my clients.

🇮🇹 Sardinia, Italy… what an incredible first stop on our Italian adventure! 💙

We started at the beautiful Hotel Petra Bianca, a small boutique hotel perched above the ocean. From there, we explored gorgeous beaches, charming little towns and took a boat tour through the Gulf of Orosei. The coastline was absolutely breathtaking! 🌊☀️

We also spent time in Cagliari and did the underground tour, which was definitely a must do. Along the way, we found some wonderful beach towns to stop and explore.

Our final stop in Sardinia was Alghero, where we stayed at Hotel Dei Pini, an oceanfront resort with the most beautiful, calm beach imaginable. ❤️ We also enjoyed some shopping, exploring the town and, of course, some amazing food.

If you are looking for beautiful beaches, charming towns, incredible food and smaller boutique hotels, Sardinia is definitely one to put on your list!

And now… next stop, Sicily! 🇮🇹🍋🍷

✈️🌊 MY OFFICE IS GOING MEDITERRANEAN! 🇮🇹🇬🇷

If you see me wandering through the streets of Sardinia, Sicily, and Greece over the next few weeks… just know I’m hard at work. 😉💻

As a travel advisor, I believe the best recommendations come from firsthand experience. So I’m traveling to explore the places I recommend to my clients — one beautiful destination at a time. 🧳✨

🌴 WARNING LABEL WEDNESDAY 🌴

I asked ChatGPT: “Describe me like you’re trying to warn someone before they meet me.”

Apparently... I should come with a disclaimer. 😂

⚠️ Can have 10 tabs open, three things being researched and a dozen details being tracked... and somehow still knows exactly where everything stands. 😂

✈️ Is a travel advisor, so casually mentioning that you are thinking about a trip may result in destination ideas, hotel recommendations, flight options and approximately 14 things you never thought to ask about.

🌎 Has a hard time going somewhere without wanting to know what is around the corner, what is worth seeing, where to stay and how to make the most of the experience.

💻 May be technically “on vacation,” but there is a good chance she is checking in on a client, answering a message or doing a little travel research between adventures.

🔎 Will question a supplier when something does not make sense. “I just want to make sure I understand correctly...” may sound innocent, but there is usually a follow-up question coming. 😂

🏨 Has opinions about hotels, resorts, room categories, locations and whether a property is actually worth the money.

💰 Loves a great vacation, but loves finding the right value even more. If there is a better room, better rate, extra perk or better option hiding somewhere, she wants to find it.

🗓️ Is already thinking about travel plans for 2028 while some people are still deciding where they are going next month. 😂

🌅 Has a serious weakness for beautiful destinations, great food, ocean views, sunsets and anywhere that makes her want to stay just a few more days.

🍷 Will tell you that traveling to experience destinations firsthand is part of the job... preferably somewhere with a beautiful view and a glass of wine nearby. 😂

💡 And if she ever says, “I have an idea...” just know she has probably already thought about the destination, the dates, the itinerary and how she can make it happen. 😂

But my favorite part of the warning label?

❤️ She genuinely cares. About her clients, her business, getting the details right and making sure people have an amazing experience. Once you are one of her clients, she is invested. She wants you to have an amazing trip, come home happy and already be thinking about where you are going next. ❤️

So apparently, if you meet me, you have been warned. 😂✈️🌴

🌴 WHAT’S ON MY DESK MONDAY 🌴

Apparently my desk has decided we are planning ALL the trips. 😂✈️

Right now I am bouncing between:

🌍 2027 & 2028 Africa trips
🎄 A Christmas Market River Cruise that I will be hosting
🏝️ All-inclusive vacations for 2026 & 2027
🌴 Excursions for clients heading off on their adventures

Flights, resorts, itineraries, deposits... and approximately 47 tabs open on my computer. 😂

So basically, just another Monday around here!

Back to work! ✈️🌍🌴
