🌊 Mt. Etna Dive Recap + Pop-Up Dive Announcement! 🐟

We had an awesome time diving Mt. Etna this past weekend! It's such a lively and beautiful site — always full of surprises underwater and a joy to explore. It was great diving with Becky, Dennis, Aaron, and Misty. The conditions were solid, the company even better, and we captured some fantastic underwater moments — check out the photos below!

Big thanks to Dennis for grilling up some delicious brats after the dives — you crushed it!

📣 Pop-Up Dive This Saturday!
Looking to get another dive in before summer winds down? Misty, the Go Scuba Club President, will be out at Mt. Etna this Saturday for a casual 2-tank dive with Chris. This is an informal meet-up — no food provided, just good company and great diving.

We’re aiming to arrive around 9:00–9:30 AM to gear up and beat the heat. If you’ve been itching to get back in the water, come join us!

The Greater Omaha SCUBA Club was at Mt Etna today. We had a great time in the water. One of the Club members found an mask. If you lost a mask we will bring it back on the 31st.

🌊 Prairie Queen Lake Cleanup Dive
📅 Date: Saturday, September 20, 2025
📍 Location: Prairie Queen Recreation Area
🕘 Time: 9:00 AM (Dive briefing at 9:15, splash soon after)
👤 Host: Dennis

Join us for a fun and meaningful day of diving while making a difference for our local environment! We’ll be diving Prairie Queen Lake to collect trash and debris, helping keep the waters clean for wildlife and the surrounding community.

Divers & Shore Support Needed!
Not a diver? No problem! We also need shore volunteers to help collect, sort, and haul debris as it’s brought in from the water.

What to Bring:

Divers: Full scuba kit (including tanks & weights)

Everyone: Gloves for handling trash, sturdy shoes, and a mesh bag or bucket if you have one

Positive attitude & willingness to get a little muddy!

This event is open to all certified divers and community members. Let’s make an impact together, one piece of trash at a time!

Join us for a relaxed and visibility-rich dive day at Mt. Etna! Misty will be hosting this meetup and is excited to get in some solid bottom time with the crew. Mt. Etna is known for its great visibility this time of year, so it’s a perfect chance to enjoy some summer diving while conditions are still prime.

Bring your gear and be ready for some great underwater time! As always, post below if you’re coming so we can keep an eye on numbers.

🌊 Go Scuba Dive Day Recap! 🐠🔥

What a perfect day out at Mt. Etna! Huge thanks to everyone who came out and made today’s dive event such a success—we had a fantastic turnout with members joining us from Kansas, Des Moines, Bellevue, and beyond!

💪 Dennis held it down at the grill, keeping everyone fueled up.
🧊 Misty officially completed her dry suit certification—though let’s just say the “dry” part was debatable!
🎣 Sydney and Isaac kicked back fishing from the bank.
🐟 Chris sparked a wild underwater feeding frenzy (the fish won’t forget him anytime soon).

It was awesome seeing both new and familiar faces coming together to enjoy the water, the sunshine, and the community. We’re deep into dive season now, and today was a reminder of how great it is to make the most of every weekend we’ve got left. 🌞🌊

🌊 Huge thanks to everyone who came out to last night’s Go Scuba meeting! 🌊

We had a fantastic turnout with both new faces and long-time members, and the energy in the room was incredible. It’s always awesome to see our dive family growing and reconnecting.

Don’t forget — we’re diving tomorrow at Mt. Etna!

🚗 Arrive around 9 AM so we can be geared up and in the water by 10.

Let’s keep the momentum going and make it another great day under the surface! 🐠🤿

For anyone who was on the club trip to Clark's Cay last year.

We are not in the habit of asking our followers for donations, but we think this is a special case. We've just received word that our (and your) beloved Oral needs emergency back surgery.

We are hoping to help him raise money for his procedure and recovery period, and will be matching any donation up to $2,500.

You can donate via bank transfer to Banco Atlántida or by credit/debit card.

Please email [email protected] and let the staff know how you would like to contribute and how much. They will then generate a secure payment link just for you if you want to pay by credit card or send you wire transfer directions for Oral's bank account!
