Savannah is one of those cities that makes you fall in love with the United States all over again.

Beautiful historic streets, incredible food, charming hotels, and that relaxed Southern pace that makes you slow down and enjoy the moment.

I recently had the chance to stay at the Thompson Savannah, and the view from their rooftop restaurant might just be one of the best in the city. Watching the river and skyline from up there is the perfect reminder that you don’t have to travel halfway around the world to experience somewhere truly special.

I often hear people say they don’t use a travel advisor for trips within the U.S. But some of the most memorable journeys I plan are right here at home—thoughtfully designed road trips, wonderful boutique hotels, and those little local gems most travelers would never find on their own.

One of my clients said something recently that really stuck with me:

“The world is a big blue marble and I’ve traveled all over, but I truly want to spend time seeing the USA. We have 50 choices.”

And he’s absolutely right.

Sometimes the next great adventure is closer than we think.

I recently spent a little "me time" at Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World, and it was a gentle reminder that wellness isn't just about fitness or nutrition--it's all about mental clarity, rest, and giving yourself permission to pause or hang out at the spa adults only pool.

As part of the Virtuoso Wellness Community, I'm always thinking about how travel can support overall wellbeing for my clients. Experiencing this firsthand reinforced how powerful intentional downtime can be--beautiful surroundings and a space to reset.

When you take care of yourself, you show up better for everyone else. Me time is not optional--it's essential.

When half the country is wrapped in parkas and Florida is pretending it knows what “extreme cold” means… let’s mentally relocate.

This is Baoase Luxury Resort—where the water stays warm, the villas feel impossibly private, and winter is nothing more than a rumor. Think barefoot breakfasts, private plunge pools, and that effortless Caribbean calm that makes you forget what day it is (or why you own a coat). Virtuoso amenities apply.

If your weekend plans involve dreaming of sunshine instead of scraping windshields, consider this your visual space heater. May your thoughts be warm and your next trip already in the works.

Hello, 2026.

A new year always feels like an invitation—to travel with intention, to slow down when it matters, and to choose experiences that stay with you long after you’re home.

In 2026, I’m excited to keep designing journeys that go beyond the expected—thoughtful, immersive, and tailored to the way you want to experience the world.

Here’s to meaningful adventures, beautiful places, and memories still waiting to be made.

Happy New Year.

Closing out 2025 under sail

My final journey of the year wasn’t a cruise—it was a true sailing adventure aboard the Star Flyer with Star Clippers, round-trip from St. Maarten through the Leeward Islands.

Quiet harbors. Off-the-beaten-path ports. Places big ships simply can’t reach.

Terre-de-Haut stole my heart, Dominica wowed with rainforest hikes, Saint Barthélemy never disappoints—and yes, French side of Saint Martin gets my vote.

Hoist the sails, climb the rigging—or simply sip coffee on deck. That’s how I chose to end 2025.

For travelers who want to experience the Caribbean beyond the usual ports, this is the kind of journey that stays with you. Here's to more meaningful adventures in 2026.

As I wrap up sharing highlights from my London holiday trip, two experiences stand out beautifully.

On one day, we spent time at Bicester Village enjoying their VIP, invite-only access to The Apartment. It was an elevated and effortless shopping experience—private rooms, thoughtful service, cocktails, snacks, and handsfree shopping that turned a simple outing into something truly special.

On another day, I immersed myself in London’s food scene with a neighborhood food tour. It was lively, flavorful, and full of local character—the kind of experience that reminds you how much a city reveals through its cuisine.

Two very different days, each offering something unique, and together they created a wonderful balance. This trip was planned intentionally to begin the holiday season on a meaningful note, and these moments—luxurious, authentic, and everything in between—made it the perfect start.

One of the most unforgettable experiences of my London Christmas trip was the Belmond British Pullman Festive Lunch in the Wes Anderson–designed carriage. Stepping onboard felt like entering a perfectly framed film scene—rich colors, thoughtful details, and that whimsical elegance Anderson is known for.

What makes the experience even more special is the history behind it. Many of the Pullman carriages date back nearly a century, beautifully restored and maintained with incredible care. Riding through the countryside in a 100-year-old carriage adds a layer of nostalgia that you simply can’t replicate.

The afternoon was beautifully done from start to finish, and it’s an experience I’d happily repeat.

One of the highlights of my London trip was finally staying at The Goring, a hotel that has been at the top of my personal list for years. It’s a property with deep heritage and a wonderfully intimate feel—one of those rare places where the moment you arrive, you understand exactly why it’s beloved by so many.

From the thoughtful service to the charm of the interiors, every detail felt special. Staying here was something I’d looked forward to for a long time, and it lived up to every expectation. A beautiful chapter in this very festive London adventure.

Starting my London trip at the Rosewood was the perfect way to ease into the holiday season. I chose it for its incredible location—just a short walk from Covent Garden—but also because I’d never stayed here myself. Rosewood isn’t a brand most travelers know, yet every time I send clients, they come home raving that it was their favorite stay of the trip. Now I understand why.

The hotel feels polished but inviting, and Scarfe’s Bar quickly became one of my new favorite spots in the city—full of character, energy, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to linger just a little longer. A wonderful start to an unforgettable week in London.

A little perspective for anyone deep in the day-to-day grind:
Investing in travel isn’t about escaping work — it’s about expanding your world.

Some of the most meaningful insights, connections, and breakthroughs happen when we step away and experience something new.

As a luxury travel advisor, I see every day how thoughtfully planned travel elevates both personal well-being and professional clarity. If you’re ready to prioritize experiences over “someday,” I’d be honored to help craft a journey that feels truly worth the investment.
