Thank you to all of our competitors, jury, coaches, parents, staff, volunteers and audience members for a spectacular 18th Finals Edition! We saw countless spectacular performances that inspired us all and are grateful for the opportunity to host so many amazing dancers from across the world!

We had the great honor of June 21, 2025 being named as “World Ballet Competition Day” by Orange County Mayor Demings!

Here’s a glimpse of Orange County Vice Mayor, Michael Scott, graciously presenting the official proclamation onstage.

He is joined onstage by the Mayor’s Deputy Chief of Staff, Carol Burkett, and WBC Founder, Vasile Petrutiu.

⭐️ WBC All Stars of Dance – Guest Artist Reveal! ⭐️

We’re thrilled to announce two more incredible artists joining the WBC All Stars of Dance Performance on June 21:

• JoAnna Schmidt – Soloist with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre
• Jorge Barani – Principal dancer with the Romanian National Opera

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

🌟 JoAnna Schmidt (USA)
Originally from Florida, JoAnna Schmidt is a soloist with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. She trained at Central Florida Ballet and furthered her studies with the PBT Graduate Program. JoAnna joined Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre in 2012, rising to soloist in 2018. A Youth America Grand Prix medalist, she’s also choreographed original works for PBT, its school, and Confluence Ballet.

🌟 Jorge Barani (Cuba)
A celebrated international competitor and principal dancer with the Romanian National Opera, Jorge Barani began his ballet journey in Havana. His impressive career includes time with Ballet de Monterrey, Kentucky Ballet Theatre, and Cincinnati Ballet. He’s a gold medalist at both the World Ballet Competition (2013) and Vienna IBC (2016), and has performed in prestigious galas worldwide.

⭐️ WBC All Stars of Dance - Guest Artist Reveal! ⭐️ Indiana Woodward and Daniel Ulbricht, principal dancers of New York City Ballet, will be performing the Tarantella Pas De Deux in WBC’s All Stars of Dance Performance held Saturday, June 21!

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

🌟 Indiana Woodward (France)
Born in Paris and trained in California, Indiana rose through the ranks at New York City Ballet to become a principal dancer in 2021. A recipient of the Lincoln Center Emerging Artist Award, her artistry continues to captivate audiences worldwide.

🌟 Daniel Ulbricht (USA)
Principal dancer with New York City Ballet, Daniel began his training in Florida and honed his craft at the School of American Ballet. Known for his dynamic presence and technical brilliance, he is also the founder of Stars of the American Ballet and co-founder of Dance Against Cancer.
