Cruise Planners of Southwest Louisiana Is Officially Open, And We're Just Getting Started
There's a version of this business where I do it all myself, from a laptop, quietly, and nobody notices until the reviews start rolling in.
That's not the version we're building.
This week, I completed STAR University through Cruise Planners, the official training and certification program every advisor goes through to fully activate their franchise. That means Cruise Planners of Southwest Louisiana isn't a plan anymore. It's open, licensed, trained, and ready to book your next trip, whether that's a milestone Alaska cruise, a multigenerational family vacation, or a river cruise through Christmas markets in Europe.
A Local Travel Advisor Team Built for Southwest Louisiana
Here's the part I'm most excited about.
I'm building this the way I always pictured it, and that includes bringing on the right people. Hallie Guidry and Megan Martin are joining me at Cruise Planners of Southwest Louisiana, and if you've worked with either of them before, you already know what that means for how our clients are going to be taken care of. If you haven't, you're about to find out.
Adding advisors to the team means more availability, more supplier relationships, more expertise in the room, and the same level of personal attention we built this business on. That's not a tradeoff. That's the point.
Why This Matters: Experience, Expertise, and a Team You Can Trust
A lot of people book travel online because they don't think there's a difference between doing it themselves and working with someone who actually knows the industry. There's a difference.
I hold my CTA (Certified Travel Associate) and VTA (Verified Travel Advisor) credentials, with my CTC and MCC in progress. I've been quoted in Travel Weekly and TravelAge West. I specialize in life-stage and milestone travel, Alaska cruising, multigenerational trips, and luxury cruise products, and I've spent years building relationships with the cruise lines and suppliers that make those trips actually work the way they're supposed to.
Now that expertise extends across a full team, based right here in Southwest Louisiana, working with clients who want a trip planned by someone who picks up the phone.
Coming Soon: Our Agency Office in Longville, Louisiana
We're also moving forward on opening our physical agency office in Longville, Louisiana, in the next few months. A local, in-person home base for Cruise Planners of Southwest Louisiana, where clients can sit down, talk through their next trip, and work with a team that's rooted in this community.
More details on that as the timeline firms up.
Let's Plan Your Next Trip
STAR University is done. The team is growing. The office is coming. August is off to a strong start, and we'd love for your next trip to be part of it.
If you've been sitting on an idea for a cruise, a family trip, or a milestone getaway, now's the time to reach out. Let's talk through what you're picturing and build a trip around it.
