Gravel bikes, MTB, trail running, hiking - it’s all moments from the door & we’re walking distance to downtown Patagonia. Park your vehicle and relax!

The Straw Bale & Ravens Nest property is located right in the heart of Patagonia’s downtown - with quick access to the list of recreational opportunities amongst the Madrean Sky Island’s.

is hosting a new year’s group run - Saturday, January 3rd, 2026 at 8AM. The run will be 12.5 miles on the Arizona Trail - event link in our bio for those interested ✨

The 2026 Run The Daydreamer trail race will take place February 6-7, 2026 - the event hosts a wonderful local artist’s market, free live music, and a fantastic food truck option from Rio Rico, AZ - ⚡️

Incredible winter weather across southern Arizona this season. Sounds like the snow in the northern Rockies is pretty low - throw your gravel bike on your car & head south! ✌️

It’s been so wonderful to hear from all of you. Excited to visit Patagonia or come back for your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th time. We’re getting really excited for another incredible Fall/Winter/Spring cycle for 2025 & 2026.

Make sure to check out our local bike shop for all your bike rental, service and retail needs. The shop has just the right amount of everything for your gravel getaway.

Between both of our properties, we’ve got space for the solo traveler and the family gathering - all within walking distance of downtown. 🍻

Good Morning Yall! It’s been a beautiful summer season thus far in Patagonia. We’ve spoken with a few of our local birding guides in town & it sounds like there are two very special semi-tropical species residing in the area this season - Rose Throated Becerad & Thick Billed King. 😎

Both of our properties have been fully booked through the summer season & reservations are beginning to come in for the Fall & Winter time frames. 🗓️ ✏️

The Hotel property recently got a few sweet upgrades along the communal gathering spaces & throughout our bedrooms. Many of you have left us super kind reviews, stating that all this space has been missing were some homey additions such as hallway rugs, wall art, and blankets for the backyard fire pit. Thank you ALL for your help is making this space more enjoyable.

We’re grateful this property has developed into a spot we can now offer a more intimate experience.

Weather has been incredible in and around Patagonia as of late. Perfect adventure temperatures. Check in with for summer hours & your local pit stop for & other trail related services you might need during your stay.

Shop small, support local, and spend a weekend in the Sky Islands. You won’t be disappointed! ✌️🍻⚡️

May is a special time of year in Patagonia. The weather is outstanding, with a mix of cool and warm temps throughout the day. Crowds decrease a bit, letting you explore the landscape by yourself & enjoy a cold b**r quietly.

At 4,020 ft in elevation, our little Sky Islands escape is an incredible opportunity to hide out during the warmer months in Southern Arizona. See yall in Patagonia!

It was a blast hosting so many incredible people during Patagonia’s inaugural trail running event. wrote a great follow up story for Athlete Reg (link in bio) & it beautifully captures the fun and excitement of this wholesome experience.

The Daydreamer raises money for Patagonia’s recycling program, hosts live music Friday & Saturday during the event weekend & gets folks out enjoying the Arizona Trail.

Outfitting & guiding of many kinds is an incredible part of Patagonia’s rural economic development each year. Hunting, cycling, birding, equestrian; there are a number of small and large organizations utilizing the direct public lands access Patagonia has to offer on a seasonal basis.

We’re grateful to work with a handful of these organizations, housing their guests as they enjoy the San Rafael Valley, Santa Rita Mountains, and Canelo Hills to name a few.

Let’s remind ourselves as visitors across this landscape that we must respect private land boundaries, follow leave no trace principles & local traffic rules, support local businesses when shopping & utilize local/regional government entity websites when needing detailed information regarding permits, approvals, or rules to abide by. These steps help ensure the future of a vibrant outdoor recreational tourism industry across Arizona’s Borderlands.
