āļøMeet the Chamber Board: Leah Jenkinsāļø
For Leah Jenkins, Pawhuska isnāt just a place on a mapāitās her heart. A lifelong resident and a proud member of the Osage Nation, Leahās deep-rooted connection to this land and its heritage shines through in everything she does. As the manager of the Lodge at Taylor Ranch, she doesn't just provide a place for guests to stay; she welcomes them into the soul of her hometown. To Leah, the ranch is far more than a workplaceāit is a piece of the landscape that shaped her, and she feels a genuine joy in sharing its beauty with everyone who visits.
When she isnāt at the ranch, Leah is pouring that same passion into the next generation as the Title VI Interventionist at Pawhuska Public Schools. Working within the school system allows her to give back to the community in a deeply personal way, ensuring students have the support and cultural connection they need to thrive. While sheāll be the first to tell you how beautiful the Oklahoma scenery is, Leahās favorite part of Pawhuska has always been the people. For her, itās the sense of connection and the unmatched strength of the community that truly make her hometown special.
At the center of Leahās world is her family. She is supported by her loving husband, Avery, a Disc Golf World Champion, and together they are raising two boys who are lucky enough to call the ranch their playground. Watching her sons grow up on the same land that shaped her is one of Leah's greatest joys, grounding her work at both the ranch and the school in a legacy of family and community.
Leah's favorite time in Pawhuska is around Christmas when the small town of Pawhuska becomes magical! You can truly feel the spirit of Christmas during the annual Christmas parade amongst all of the festive lights and decorations.
