Two years of our life, packed into suitcases. 💔

Our newest video shows us packing up our cabin and spending our last hours on Villa Vie Odyssey. We were exhausted, emotional, and trying to wrap our heads around leaving the place we’d called home.

There were tears, but some smiles too. That’s just us—even on the hard days.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out, checked on us, and sent so much love. We haven’t been able to answer everyone yet, but we appreciate you more than you know. ❤️

Well, it’s been a crazy few days. These are photos from our last day on Villa Vie Odyssey, packing up and saying goodbye to the place we’ve called home for the past two years.

We’re exhausted. Between the packing, the goodbyes and trying to figure everything out, we haven’t had much time to let it all sink in.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out, checked on us and sent so much love and support. We haven’t been able to reply to everyone yet, but please know how much we appreciate you. ❤️

And yes, we’re still smiling. It’s been hard, but we have each other, some incredible friendships and a whole lot of memories we wouldn’t trade.

The picture we’re holding says “You & Me, We Got This.” Seemed like a pretty good reminder to take with us.

For now, we could really use some sleep! Then we’ll figure out the next adventure. 🤙

As you may have heard in the news… our life at sea has taken an unexpected turn after two years aboard Villa Vie Odyssey.

This ship has been our home, and so many of you have followed along as we’ve shared our everyday life and adventures around the world. ❤️

We’ve posted a video discussing what’s happening and what it means for us. There’s a lot to take in, and we’re taking things one day at a time.

Johan may have set the bar a little high with this one…lol

For our 10-year anniversary, he wrote September 30, a song telling the story of our life together. He first surprised me by playing it alongside pictures of us, and it was such a thoughtful, heartfelt gift. Ten years of memories put into a song. How do you top that?

Now he’s created a music video to go with it, and of course I had to share it with you all. Between this and the cowboy song I just posted, he’s becoming quite the music producer! Apparently, traveling the world and editing our videos wasn’t keeping him busy enough…lol

Well, apparently Johan needed another hobby! 😂

After traveling the world for two years, he’s decided to try his hand at country music. Yes, you read that right… a Swedish cowboy! 🤠

His first song, “Cowboy Life,” under his new stage name J.B. Driftwood, is officially on Spotify!

It’s all a little bit of fun, so don’t take it too seriously. Give it a listen, have a laugh, and who knows… maybe Nashville is our next port of call! 😂🎸

What the TRUCK, Thailand?! What is up with your hard beds?!

We’ve spent over a month in Thailand, and finding a soft bed has become a full-time job!

It started in Koh Samui at a beautiful beach resort. Gorgeous setting…bed like a box spring without the mattress or spring. Then came Bangkok, Jomtien Beach, and now Chiang Mai. Different cities, same angry hips.

We’ve been in Chiang Mai for over two weeks, and I’ve made it my mission to find a bed I can actually sleep on. I read reviews before booking, find people raving about the comfortable rooms and beds, and think we’ve finally found THE ONE. Then we get there…and apparently, we have very different definitions of comfortable.

Listen, if my hips hurt from sleeping, we have a problem. Especially with all this extra hip cushion I brought along…lol

Our new rule is to book two nights MAX until the mattress passes the hip test. No more committing to a longer stay before we know if we can sleep!

We’re now heading to our FIFTH place in Chiang Mai. We came to explore Thailand, but apparently we’re reviewing every mattress in town. Johan’s face pretty much sums it up.

The struggle is REAL! 🤙

We miss our bed at home on the Odyssey!! We are going home soon! 🥰

When you travel full time, the less maintenance, the better! That includes my beauty routine.

You might remember I had my nano brows done the last time we were in Thailand. I love the hair strokes and the arch, and I did ask for a natural color—but I’ve realized I like my brows a little darker!

Today I visited Nails & Brows by Ying in Chiang Mai for a brow tint and wax, plus something new for me—a lash lift and tint. Basically, a little perm for my eyelashes! (Yes, it smelled just like a perm) All three services were 1,300 baht, about $38.62 USD.

Boa did a great job, and I’m happy with how both turned out! But if I were doing it again, I’d probably spend the extra $20 USD and try lash extensions. My lashes are so thin, practically nonexistent, or gray…lol. The lift and tint helped, but I think I’d enjoy a little more fullness.

Of course, I was trying to avoid extensions because of the upkeep… but I also hate putting on mascara! The struggle between wanting less maintenance and wanting more lashes is real. 🤙

Found a lovely little breakfast spot called Miss Ju in Chiang Mai this morning, right around the corner from our current guesthouse! It had such a nice garden setting—a peaceful place to sip our iced coffees and start the day.

And the price? Two iced coffees, one banana smoothie, and two entrées for just $11.30 USD! We love stumbling across little places like this when we’re traveling. 🤯

Our first time watching Thai boxing in Chiang Mai! Although this reel looks brutal, ask Johan and he’ll tell you he thought there was a lot of acting involved! Watch until the end for the boxer he thinks deserves an Oscar!

We had such a fun night cheering and making little bets among our group. We’ve heard other stadiums might offer more competitive fights, but we loved our first experience.

Johan was more impressed by the halftime dancers—that video is coming soon! 🤙

We’re creatures of habit! When we find a place with great food, cheap b**r, and AIR CONDITIONING, chances are we’re coming back!

Today was our second visit to Tiger Kingdom @ In Town here in Chiang Mai. Chicken stir-fried noodles, crab fried rice, a bottle of water, and two b**rs came to just 299 baht—about $8.92 USD for everything. Pretty hard to beat!

They’re somehow connected to Tiger Kingdom, which we’re planning to visit one day. For now, we’re enjoying the food and cooling off!
