For those of you considering traveling to Iceland, please keep in mind news media outlets act as if the sky is falling in when there is volcanic activity.
Iceland's nickname is actually "The Land of Fire & Ice." This is what draws people and the entertainment industry!
The island itself has been formed by volcanic activity, much like the Hawaiian Islands. Both islands actively monitor what is happening with their volcanoes; remember people live there.
My favorite on the ground Icelander, is Ragga, known as the Lava Lady, she is the founder and co-owner of the famous Lava Show, located in both Reykjavik and Vik.
