🐾 Flying with your pet? A little planning goes a long way.
Before you book, make sure you’ve checked:
✈️ Airline rules for pet size, carrier requirements, fees, breed restrictions and whether your pet can travel in-cabin.
🩺 Health requirements for your destination. International trips may require vaccinations, microchips, health certificates, permits or other documentation.
🌎 Return-to-U.S. requirements too. Dogs entering or returning to the U.S. are subject to current CDC rules, which may include a CDC Dog Import Form and additional requirements depending on where they’ve traveled.
🐶 Carrier prep matters. Let your pet get comfortable with the carrier before travel day.
🏷️ Update ID and microchip information, and pack a few essentials like medications, cleanup supplies, water bowl and veterinary records.
And whenever possible, choose a nonstop flight to keep travel time and stress to a minimum.
