Stop in to see the Historic Pioche Fire Dept this weekend!

Pioche Fire Department to OPEN restored Firehouse Labor Day weekend.
The Pioche Volunteer Fire Department have been working on the restoration of their old firehouse on LaCour St. for the past 5 years, and the restoration is nearly complete. The old firehouse originally built in 1876 has been a major undertaking to keep the building still standing and preserve its rich history. The Department is excited to share its progress Labor Day weekend and will be opening the Old Firehouse on Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 3pm. Locals and visitors are welcome to come into the old building and view artifacts and memorabilia from the original Protection Hose Company and Pioche Volunteer Fire Department. that have been preserved over the past 150 years. The restoration has been 100% funded by donations, if you have helped donate stop in and see what you helped contribute to, there is still some work to be done and donations are needed and appreciated.
