Today is the 64th birthday of our City, incorporated on April 27, 1961.
Here are some fun facts about Port St. Lucie.
➡️ Spruce Bluff Mound, a prehistoric mound most likely built by the Ais people that dates to 100-300 B.C., is located in the Southbend Lakes neighborhood.
➡️ "Moonraker," the 11th James Bond film, was filmed along the St. Lucie River.
➡️ Sportsman's Park is the oldest park in Port St. Lucie.
➡️ The first City Council meeting was held May 11, 1961.
