Peace Memorial Park is getting a makeover on Memorial Day (thank you Lloyd Ecodistrict!), and you can help!

Join Lloyd EcoDistrict and volunteers on Memorial Day to help makeover Peace Memorial Park. We will be removing graffiti, repainting park fences/walls, installing elementary school artwork (see picture below), picking up trash in the surrounding areas (Eastbank Esplanade/Convention Center/Moda Cen...

Peace Memorial Park is a pocket park above the Eastbank Esplanade, at the corner of NE Lloyd and Oregon. Hundreds of cyclists and pedestrians pass through it every day, most without giving it a second thought. What if it were a real destination in itself?

Three goats visited this time, and munched a fair amount of blackberry clippings--but not all! Along with all the weeds ...

Three goats visited this time, and munched a fair amount of blackberry clippings--but not all! Along with all the weeds pulled in the garden, we had many bags full! Thanks to Lloyd EcoDistrict and Friends, and all the VFPers who turned out -- you know who you are! And the park looks great!!!
