🌊 It’s official — June 8 is now Kitsap Peninsula National Water Trails Day!

Today we celebrate the natural beauty, recreation, and connection the water trail brings to our region. Thanks to the leadership of Commissioner Christine Rolfes and the Kitsap County Commissioners, this day now honors the only National Water Trail in Washington State.

As the proclamation reads, “The Trail is a vital asset that enhances recreation, economic vitality, and community identity in Kitsap County.”

So whether you’re kayaking at dawn, beachcombing at low tide, or watching the water sparkle from shore—take a moment today to appreciate this incredible blueway that ties Kitsap together.
