Did you know? 🎣 Late summer into September is prime time to try your luck for migrating salmon around the Hansville shoreline. Norwegian Point offers saltwater access along Admiralty Inlet, where salmon move through on their journey toward their home rivers and streams.

Before you cast: bring a valid Washington fishing license and salmon catch record card, check current WDFW Marine Area 9 regulations, and remember to pack in, pack out.

The Point Casino & Hotel (and plenty of vacation rentals) is only a 10 minute drive from this spot for those who want to start early. Staying the night before is a helpful option.

Next week is Kitsap County Fair & Stampede week! 🤠🎡

Six days, one arena, and some of the toughest broncs in the PRCA! This shot says it all. From August 26–30, the Kitsap Fairgrounds will turn into the heart of the Peninsula: PRCA rodeo action every night, a full carnival, live music, and barns full of 4-H and FFA kids showing off a year's worth of work with their animals.

Rodeo runs nightly at 6:30pm (5:30pm Saturday), with Sunday's Xtreme Bulls kicking off at noon. Add in live concerts on the Main Stage and Thunder Road Stage, food vendors, the Commercial Building, and the Kitsap Junior Livestock Auction on Saturday — there's a reason to come out every single day.

Grab your boots and your cowboy hat, we'll see you in the stands. 🐴🎶

Kitsap Peninsula: kinda hard to put into one aesthetic. 😏

One minute you’re standing on a historic Mosquito Fleet dock, the next you’re paddling beneath a bridge, wandering around a lighthouse, casually sharing the waterfront with a 418.3-foot destroyer, or taking the scenic route through a wetland because apparently getting somewhere efficiently is overrated.

Swipe through for a few spots that are very much doing their own thing:

⚓ Indianola Dock — a piece of Kitsap’s Mosquito Fleet history stretching out into Port Madison.
🛶 Bremerton — where paddling through the city comes with bridges, shoreline neighborhoods and Sinclair Inlet views.
🌊 Point No Point, Hansville — lighthouse, beach, driftwood and serious edge-of-the-peninsula energy.
🚢 USS Turner Joy, Bremerton— a 418-foot former U.S. Navy destroyer you can actually tour on the downtown waterfront.
🌿 Clear Creek Trail, Silverdale— wetlands, boardwalks and trails hiding in plain sight near the middle of town.

Kinda metal. Kinda punk. Kinda feral. Kinda iconic. Kinda chic.

Where else can you paddle beneath snow-capped mountains, wander forest trails by afternoon, settle in for a ridiculously good meal, and still feel like the person pouring your coffee is genuinely glad you came?

Here, water isn’t just a view. The mountains aren’t just a backdrop. The forests aren’t somewhere you have to drive hours to find. They’re all part of the rhythm of the Kitsap Peninsula.
