🎃 SOME ROADS ARE SPOOKIER THAN OTHERS.

There’s something about driving into a dark tunnel, surrounded by solid rock, with only a tiny patch of daylight waiting on the other side.

Our Kentucky adventures have taken us through some remarkable places. From the darkness of Nada Tunnel to towering rock formations and quiet nights beneath a sky full of stars, every adventure has a story to tell.

And sometimes, those stories are just a little spooky. 👻

THE GUIDE’S VIEW | Know Before You Cross

Just because there’s a trail on the other side doesn’t mean you should drive through the water to get there.

Water crossings demand respect. Before entering, take time to assess the depth, current, bottom conditions, potential hazards, and your exit route.

Muddy water can hide rocks, deep holes, and washed-out sections. What looks manageable from behind the wheel may tell a different story when you get out and investigate.

And sometimes, the smartest decision is to turn around.

The adventure starts long before the tires hit the trail.

There’s a lot that happens behind the scenes before we lead a group into the woods.

Tomorrow we’re heading out for our sold-out Copper Canopy Expedition here in Vermont. Just a few days later, we’ll be setting out for Kentucky.
