We are starting to think about Fall in Prescott. 🍂

The next few weeks bring some of our favorite reasons to head to the river—from Prescott Daze, September 10–13, to scenic drives, changing bluff views and those first crisp days that make you want to spend a little longer outside.

Consider this your fall preview:
🍁 Take the Great River Road into town
🥾 Stop at Freedom Park for a river + bluff view
🍽️ Grab lunch or dinner downtown
🛍️ Wander the shops and riverfront
🌅 Stay for sunset where the St. Croix and Mississippi meet

And first up: Prescott Daze—four days of hometown fun and one very good reason to put Prescott on your September calendar.

Summer may still be here, but fall in Prescott is getting closer. 🍂

Two wheels. River views. Pick your ride. 🚲
Hit the mountain bike trails at Magee Wilderness Park, cruise the Point Douglas Regional Trail just across the river, or take the scenic route along Wisconsin’s Great River Road.
However you like to ride, Prescott is a pretty good place to start. 🌿🚲

Your beach day is calling. ☀️🏖️

Pack the swimsuits, grab the sunscreen, and soak up summer in Prescott. Sandy toes, river views, and time together — just the way summer should be.

Insider tip: Stay for a patio dinner and watch the sunset along the river. It's the best way to end a summer day!

The original house that later became St. Croixdale was built in 1854 by OT Maxson, later owned by Mr. Barnes and finally Mr. Meacham. In 1925 Dr. Jones purchased it and started St. Croixdale, now long gone. The photos is from the PAHS collection.

Mid-summer looks better from the water.
Cruise in at Prescott, tie up along the riverfront, and make a day of it. Boating, patio stops, river views, and plenty of summer are still ahead.
Let’s meet at the river.
