Hindu Charters Hindu Charters offers public and private sailing charters in Provincetown, MA and Key West, FL William H.

Hand Jr., famed yacht designer, designed and oversaw construction of "Hindu" in East Boothbay Harbor, Maine in 1925. She measures 59' 11 1/2" stem-to-stern and is a half-scale model of a 19th century Grand Banks fishing vessel. Once "Hindu" is restored, the owners intend to take customers on sails for up to two hours at a time during the day around scenic harbors. The owners plan to keep "Hindu" in Key West, Florida in winter and in Provincetown, Massachusetts in summer, as per tradition.

Tear jerker alert.

For those of you who sailed with/ loved Finnegan we wanted to share the news that she is now fishing amongst the stars, and sailing beyond the clouds.

After being diagnosed with terminal cancer that had destroyed her hips and spine, leading to paralyzation in her back half, Finn got to do all the things she loved most before we said goodbye. More on those things to follow.

Her smile here says it all: she loved being on board Hindu with the wind in her ears and dolphins on the bow most of all. More than the just the admiral, she was our queen. She will be missed every day, and her strong spirit, which touched so many, will forever be a part of our team.

We are so grateful for her many years of sass, and honored by her delight in working with us on board.

Please expect/excuse a barrage of tribute posts as we process her loss. Right now it’s still surreal.
