Spot the snack! Can you blame the ʻAlalā for loving this?

Our team paused mid-adventure to capture this stunning shot of a native Hōʻawa pod cracking open to reveal its seeds. The endangered Hawaiian crow relies on these tough pods for food, and the forest relies on the crows to plant them. Talk about teamwork! 🤝🍃

Update on our 20,000th tree 🌱

For more than 20 years, we’ve been restoring the native forest at Pōhakuokala Gulch on the slopes of Haleakalā. What was once overrun with invasive eucalyptus is now home to thousands of native plants and trees, including koa that now tower over 40 feet tall.

Pretty special seeing this one continue to grow 🤙🏼

Nature’s original hula dancer. 🌿✨

Did you know the ‘ōlapa tree is named for the way its leaves flutter and dance, even in the slightest breeze? In Hawaiian culture, ‘ōlapa also refers to hula dancers who move with that same grace and energy.

Come catch the rhythm of the mountain at our Haleakalā course!

ʻŌhiʻa mamo in full bloom 🌺

One of Hawaii’s rare native treasures, lighting up the forest with fiery yellow blossoms and supporting the islands’ unique ecosystems one bloom at a time. A reminder of why protecting our native forests matters. 🌿

Apologies my friend, you don’t quite meet the minimum height and weight requirements for zip-lining!

Great news is, you are more than welcome to join us on the hike and still be part of the fun.

The perfect adventure for everyone!
