Hi everyone! It’s no secret that the biggest question is: What about the restaurant? As you may have seen, our goal is to update and improve many of the accommodations here at Maynard’s. The main lodge and kitchen is one of them. Unfortunately, as new owners, we are not grandfathered into the same zoning classification. With that, we are unable to operate the facility as such. We are actively working with LUPC to make it all happen - but it’s quite the process! Rest assured, all cabins are still available to guests. As we work to make online booking available for all, please don’t hesitate to call if the cabin you want is not readily visible!

Saying goodbye to something so loved is never easy.

Maynard’s has been our family’s heritage for 105 years. It began with Walter Maynard with a dream and his love for the outdoors, then to Roger whose passion was cooking and getting to know his guests over the years. I married Bill in 1968 and was welcomed into the family, full speed ahead, Bill loved working outside maintaining the property and the animals.

Maynard’s has been much more than a family business, it is a world unchanged in time, quiet recluse, a place to forget about this crazy world around us and focus on simpler things. A place to make memories (and there are so many) generations returning year after year making new traditions and remembering the old.

Maynard’s is a place to relax on the porches, enjoy the view and let your stresses take a back seat.

Our family has been blessed with faithful guests, hardworking and dedicated staff and amazing friends who have supported us in countless ways. We are forever grateful to you all. Thank you everyone for being a part of Maynard’s in many ways and most of all for loving us for what we are.

So we close this chapter in our life and start a new one.

“Goodbye” is more than a farewell- it carries good wishes for the future. So…..goodbye to the Maynard legacy and very best wishes to the new owners of Maynards. May you enjoy the simple beauty of this timeless treasure as you begin a new chapter in this historic setting, A place where memories are made and never forgotten.

A Heartfelt Thank You as We Close for the Season

As the season comes to a close, we want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you who visited our cabins and dined with us at our restaurant this year. Your support means the world to us.

Whether you stayed in our cabins to escape the hustle and bustle or enjoyed a meal with loved ones in our restaurant, we hope you felt right at home. Our goal is always to provide a peaceful, memorable experience, and we’re so grateful that you chose us as your destination.

We’d also like to extend a special thank you to our incredible staff. From the team that greeted you with a warm smile to those working behind the scenes, they’ve put their hearts into making this season a success. Without their hard work and dedication, none of this would be possible.

We’re already looking forward to the next season and the opportunity to welcome both new and familiar faces back. Until then, we hope you have a wonderful off-season filled with adventure, relaxation, and everything in between.
