New Adventures Ahead on Scappoose Bay Marina!

There’s something magical about paddling through still water, surrounded by trees, birdsong, and wide Columbia County skies.

And now, there’s a new chapter unfolding right where the bay meets the horizon.

Starting October 1st, the beloved Scappoose Bay Paddling Center is becoming The Paddle Shack, run by local adventurers Cody James and Bri. They’re keeping the kayak and paddleboard rentals you love and introducing new experiences. Stay tuned!

This is the kind of local love and outdoor spirit that makes Columbia County shine. We’re so ready to launch into this next chapter!

Scappoose, OR, September 25, 2025 –Cody James and Bri of Scappoose, Oregon, have purchased Next Adventure’s Scappoose Bay Kayaking Center and will run paddle sports rentals, retail, and community events as owner/operators of the business, newly renamed as “The Paddle Shack”.

Still riding the North of West Music Fest high from Saturday. The City Of St. Helens was alive with art, live music, sunshine and the kind of vibes you wish you could bottle.
