The event is a group of boaters getting together to light up boats, spread the Christmas spirit and have a safe, slow, gathering. No questions regarding spectating can be answered as we do not have permits for land. It is solely up to the public’s discretion. -Thank you for understanding
Boaters, here is the route we will follow and details.
-Tomorrow/Friday-There will be a roll call on the event page discussion for boats to get an idea of how many will participate.
-This route does not guarantee passage of your vessel. The captain of each vessel makes this determination on their own.
-It is suggested you make sure your safety equipment is up to date and all required equipment is on board your vessel.
-Boaters are encouraged to for a single file line/fall into a single file line in the staging area around 6:15
-THE DOLPHIN QUEEN (pictured on route) will be the lead boat. It will come out of the St Pete Marina South Basin approximately 6:20, proceed to about 50 yards off the Northeastern tip of Albert Whitted Airport.
-The Dolphin Queen will begin the parade heading to the south base of the St Pete Pier, make a hard starboard turn east along the pier and follow the route.
-We will enter the Vinoy Basin on the port side of the channel, proceed through the Basin clockwise, exit on the port side of the basin channel, head to 'Coffee Pot" channel, entering on the port side of channel, round 'bird island' clockwise, proceed southeast out on the port side of the same channel. Once out of the channel, head south to the tip of the St Pete Pier and conclude.
-We will monitor Channel 69

Many channel markers are missing from the hurricanes. It is highly suggested you attempt the route at daylight.
