One of the best Mexican joints in town....

Some guests remember coming here as children. Today, they bring their own families. That's the kind of tradition we're proud to be part of.

Since 1974, Tomasita's has been serving authentic Northern New Mexican cuisine with recipes handed down through generations. From our humble beginnings on Hickox Street to our historic home in the Santa Fe Railyard's century-old Chile Line station, we've remained family-owned, rooted in tradition, and committed to genuine hospitality. Still one of the best if not the best restaurants in town.

Jambo! We *think* this is a thing—a couple of months ago we got an email from "The Michelin Guide" asking us some questions about our food and Chef. We BLINKED at the time, but dutifully filled out the form. The other day Chef Ahmed was invited to a Michelin Guide "ceremony" in Las Vegas, NV. The invitation is "strictly nominative"—we SQUINTED a little at that one. We have no idea really, we COULD be simply IN the forthcoming guide as "a nice place to eat" or we could be getting a star or two or three. We don't know (Michelin is kind of secretive), but with EYEBROWS RAISED and a bit WIDE-EYED we thought we'd share. We're guessing we'll at least be listed and thanks to you all for making Jambo Cafe such a staple of the Santa Fe scene. WISH US LUCK!
