Experiencing hospitality and renting a cabin are two very different things …

Here on our farm, not only do we truly care about our guests but we genuinely love and care about each and every one of our animals. 🐷🐶🐣🐴🐑🫏🐐🐎🐓

We also deeply care about this land and the homes we have built by hand here. ⛰️

Farm life isn’t for everyone. 👨🏼‍🌾👩🏼‍🌾

It requires a grit and dedication that isn’t easy to come by.

True hospitality is also not for everyone….

It’s not going to be fully experienced in the cabin rented from an out of state investor that cares most about the numbers and ROI.

It’s not going to be found in a big box hotel.

It is cultivated in the heart and souls of those of us who love to share the beauty of the land, 🌿
the peace found in watching the horses, 🐎
the connections made on the wrap around porch, 🪑
and make sure everyone who stays with us feel at home in a way that brings them back to the most nostalgic emotions. 💞

Once upon a Smoky Mountain cornfield… 🌽
The year was 1969. Patriot Park was nothing more than rows of corn swaying in the breeze, the Pottery House Café was just a cozy little home with a kiln in the back, and the Old Mill stood tall, grinding away like it had since the 1800s.

If you squint at those old photos, you can almost hear the river turning the wheel and smell the bread baking before it ever became a “must-stop” on everyone’s Pigeon Forge vacation. Back then, nobody could’ve imagined this quiet patch of farmland would one day grow into the heartbeat of the Old Mill District.

The Old Mill isn’t just a building — it’s a survivor. It’s watched wagons turn into cars, fields turn into parks, and tourists turn a sleepy town into one of the biggest destinations in the Smokies.

What started with cornfields and clay pots turned into history and heritage, captured forever on the banks of the Little Pigeon River. 🌊
