Made a little house for my well. Even though I have heat trace in my line from the cabin to the well it still froze in the well last winter.
Insulated the inside and put a shot of heat trace down the well that has its own thermostat so it will automatically come on when it gets cold.
The roof is removable for access and a little window to see when the heat trace comes on.

Not all the projects get to be done on sunny days. With winter coming the clock is ticking to get as much done or it will have to wait until next year.
Built a deck for my bear proof trash can in the summer and sand pile for the driveway in the winter. Used all the scraps I’ve been collecting from other projects so I didn’t have to buy more lumber.
Was pouring rain out but my nasturtiums are still hanging in there and helped the mood to get the deck done.

Today’s fun. Every year I set aside some $$ and push the pad out a little more. Because of the steep grade it takes a lot of dirt to get just a few feet of usable pad. It took 22 dump truck load for just this spot but it will be nice this winter to push the snow further away from the parking spots.
My little Kubota tractor that I’ve had for 13 years was introduced to the umbrella today. Wish I’d thought of this years ago.

Got a lot done in the week rental of the Genie S-80. Finished the three roof logs in the back. Loving the PermaChink Products. Secured the loose tin on the front. Made summer sausage. Resealed the upright logs. Then went down to my other cabin and cleaned the chimney, scrubbed the tin in the pouring rain. Thankful for my porch umbrella for keeping me dry, then ran the machine out of fuel and spent an hour at the top until more fuel arrived. Glad I had my heat gun to stay warm!

Needed a little push up the hill and the side of the cabin. The Genie didn’t like my steep driveway.
