Nanny goats have their kids and hang out on steep cliffs to try to avoid black bears, because black bears love to munch on baby goats.

Goats are the best rock climbers on the planet, but due to not having opposable thumbs, cannot belay each other, so they must always free solo when they climb.

Unfortunately, sometimes they slip off the cliffs and plummet to their death.

We’ve seen nanny goats with newborn kids frolicking in the cliffs and Stellar sea lions active outside of the water. They will be birthing their pups any day now!

Stoked to fill our winch spool with 550 ft of anchor rode. Shout out to our sailor buddy Brent who helped us with the splicing and fishing buddy Bill for the insight on an ideal setup

While we don’t anchor on our glacier/wildlife trips, it is a key safety feature and a must for halibut fishing on our days off 😉 🎣!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas out there in every stage and phase.

Eldorado took out its first folks — Captain Logan’s mom Heidi Schulz, friend Judy Kepes, and his dad Kenneth Schulz to help break in the engines and spend time on the water.

Captain Clay’s mom, Alicia Worsham Lambert, was missed - but we’re looking forward to getting her aboard in July.

Special shoutout to Logan’s better half, and amazing mother to Lu, Annie Rose. wouldn’t be who or where we are today without the amazing women who created us, support us, and love us.
